RAE'S HOUSE

"I still can't believe they said yes." Brooke mumbled as she put in her earrings.

"I know, it's surprising, right?" I grabbed the white heels from the floor, and sat on my bed. "I'm pretty sure my mom passed out."

"I mean.." Brooke raised her brows. "It's Jimin we're talking about."

"What's that supposed to mean?" I nudged her shoulder, before looking in the mirror. "Are you nervous at all?"

"Pfft, me nervous?" Brooke chuckled. "Why would I be nervous, when you're the one wearing heals."

"I'm not gonna fall." I squinted my eyes. "I've been practicing all morning, and I think I've got the hang of it now."

"You better not jinx yourself." She pointed her finger at me, before reaching for a can of hairspray.

"Easy on the spray." I wanted her. "You don't want it sticking to your graduation cap."

"You're over thinking." She gently pushed my shoulder. "Here, let's practice this just incase."

"Okay." I let out a deep breath. "I'm ready."

"Aurelia Alanis." Brooke almost cracked a smile as she watched me trying not to fall in her talk heals.

"I'm honored to be standing here." I spoke into the remote that Brooke used as a microphone. "Thank you, and goodbye.

"Woohoo!" Brooke dramatically screamed at the top of her lungs. "That's ma girl—I mean Jimin's girl!"

"I'll kill you." I grabbed a pillow in my hand, threatening to throw it at her sprayed hair.

"Try me b—

"Shit, we're running late." I grabbed onto her wrist and dragged her downstairs. "Mom, dad, are you ready to go?"

"Ready Freddy."

"Dad." I rolled my eyes.

"I—"

"Just don't."
