The Earth has music for those who listen - William Shakespeare
Sterling's POV
I quite liked the name Briar. It was different and pretty. She was pretty, but I wouldn't admit that to anybody. Her hair was shiny, her eyes were like windows to her soul, they held so much emotion too. Lukas says that she's here for music and dance which dance was my thing, but Lillian, Arabella, and my friends chose music. Usually, you only hear of someone getting into Avalon for one talent, but rarely ever two talents. Chin Ho is the top-ranking pianist at this school, but he also conducts as well. I don't know what kind of music she's into or what kind of dancer she is, but judging by her body muscle she looks like she does ballet and hip-hop. I make a mental note to ask her later, only to try and get to know my sister's new roommate.
"Hey, Sterling you alright bud?" Harrison's hand comes waving in front of my face and I didn't realize that they had all been staring which may I add was a bit creepy.
"Um... Yeah... I'm good mate," I waved him off and sat up straighter and messed up my hair more than what it already was.
"Do you want some ice cream?" Lillian asked and was getting her purse ready to leave and get some.
"Aren't you going to ask Briar if she wants some?" It was quite rude for Lillian to forget about her even though she was in another room and keeping to herself.
"I forgot that we have someone new!" She quickly walked over to the study and knocked before entering. A second later Briar emerged with my sister following behind her.
"Lillian tells me that we're going out for ice cream," she walked to her room and came back with a bag that similar to my sister's.
"Please call me Lily," she smiled sweetly and walked out the door. We all left the building to go to the best ice cream place that we know.
"So where is this place at?" Briar spoke up from the back of the van. I like to drive my parent's minivan when I know that I'll have a car full. Even though the van only had seven seats some people sat on the ground which I knew wasn't safe, but I was being careful since it's the weekend.
"Before my parents owned a school they owned an ice cream parlor just down from our house," Lillian explained to her.
"So do they still own the shop?" She questioned.
"Yes. My mum stays at the shop and my dad takes care of the school since it was his idea to start the school. My mum was fine with just the parlor," I answered for her and it felt nice to have someone talk to me like a normal human being.
"I think she still might be at the shop. I think saying something about getting some ice cream flavors made by tomorrow," Lillian tried to recall the phone call that she had with mum before we left probably to make sure it was okay if we came.
"More ice cream already," I couldn't believe the business that she was getting. It wasn't like her ice cream was bad, it was just surprising how her business has taken off since she started it almost three years ago.
"Yeah, someone called today and ordered some for a birthday party." I pulled up to the parlor and sure enough, my car that I traded for the van today was still in the parking lot. Everyone clambered out of the car and somehow Emmett and Elijah ended up on the ground.
