YOUR POV

The morning sun of the next day spilled through Archie's room. Betty and I were laying in his bed, my back facing her. Archie had made a bed on the floor, right at the foot of the bed. I laid there, staring at the blank wall. A headache still lingered in my head and my stomach was aching from all the tugging and pulling and straining from last night trying to get out of my restraints. I used the dim morning light to look at my wrists, a band of purple and blue wrapped around them from where I was tied down. Strands of my (h/c) hair fell in front of my face. I sat up in the bed and pulled my hair back, wrapping it in a loose ponytail. I climbed out of the bed as silently as I could, my feet hit the soft carpet and I made my way to the door. I looked back at my sleeping friends. My heart felt sorrow for all they had gone through and I wanted desperately to help them. An idea popped in my head, it's not much, but I can make them all breakfast!

After putting the finishing touches on the pancakes I heard footsteps coming downstairs. Archie appeared first with messy hair and a few moments after, a disarrayed Betty came into the kitchen.

"You're just in time!" I cheered and turned to the fridge to grab syrup.

"Whoa," Archie drooled, "you didn't have to do this!".

My hand reached into the cold air and pulled out a bottle of syrup. I read the label, Blossom's Maple Syrup. My stomach flipped, I hadn't heard from Cheryl since she told Betty she was almost killed last night, I wonder if she's okay. Turning around, I placed the bottle swiftly on the counter and grabbed my phone. As I opened my text messages to text Cheryl, I noticed my last conversation with Toni right at the top. I should text her too, make sure she's okay. I felt guilty while deciding who I should text first. Inevitably, I chose to text Toni.

    me
    | hey Toni, are you okay after last night?

    me
    | sorry I haven't texted.

I sat down next to the two teens scarfing down food as I waited for Toni to text back. In the meantime I texted Cheryl.

     me
     | hey! are you okay? i heard u got attacked
last night !! txt me back :)

Again, I sat still and waited. Archie rose from his seat and brought his plate to the sink.

"Thanks, (y/n)!" He said as he turned back around.

"Yes, thank you!" Betty mumbled with a mouth full of pancakes.

"Anything for you guys," I laughed and twiddled with my thumbs.

"Betty, I have to identify your dad today, down at the station. Do you want to be there?" Archie asked with a sad tone in his voice.

"I have to go see Jug at the hospital," She answered with an equally as sad a tone in her voice.
