Chapter 8

Drake

Viktor and I walked down the hall to where we heard Jade's voice but found Kraven instead. We both looked at him as I said: "What are you doing Kraven."

"Nothing why."

"You're lying Kraven we heard jades voice so where is my daughter," Viktor said.

He shrugged his shoulder and I looked at the room he was leaning up against. He was on the door to one of the room that let the sun in. I looked at him and said, "Why are you in front of that room."

He wasn't telling us something so I walked over to the door and opened it. I saw the sun and backed up. Once my eyes got adjusted I saw Jade in there making me say "Fuck."

As I went into the room I saw Viktor knocked Kraven out. Once in the room I push her even more against the wall then she already was and said: "Get ready run to the door angel."

A small whimper escaped her lips. I know the sun hurts but we need to get out of this room so I say "I know it hurts but the faster you are out of here the better."

She shook her head, yes and I said: "On three jade, one, two, three, go."

We both ran for the door and I did the best I could to protected her from the sun as we ran outside the room. Once out of the room we both fell, using my body to protect her from the sun until Viktor slammed the door shut. I slowly got off of her so Viktor could look her over but not before I ran my hand down her cheek to get a quick look at her wounds. I felt Viktor coming up to her so I backed up and just watched as he looked her up and down.

Her clothes were burnt have to hell and so was her skin but it had mostly healed. My back was burnt to hell and so was part of my chest but I will live. Viktor said, "You need to feed."

Jade pulled from his embrace and said: "I will get something from the kitchen."

Viktor was about to say something but Jade turned to me and said: "Are you OK."

I looked at her as she tried to get up but fell back down. I walked up to her, pulled her up to my chest and said: "I'm fine and you need to feed."

She looked at me and then to Viktor who said: "I will give you mine blood and Drake take Kraven downstairs please."

I gave Jade to Viktor, looked at Kraven who was unconscious on the floor and growled "My pleasure."

I pick him up and walked off but not before saying "Take her to my room Viktor I will be there soon."

As I walked down the stairs I heard Viktor say "No arguing Jade lets get you to bed so you can heal and feed."

Once down the stairs, I turned right to go down the cells. Once down there I open the door that had no sun in it even though I want to put him in one. I threw him on the cell floor and kick him as hard as I could in the head and gut then closed the cell door.

I took silver chains, wrapped it around the cell gate and locked it with the original cell look. No way in hell will he get out of here until he leaves and Jade is safe. After I was done I left to go back upstairs and ran into Adam who said: "Are you OK I heard what happened."

"I'm fine why."

"You're my maker I'm worried and Lothaire is coming."

"OK is something wrong with that Adam."

"Not at all."

"Yes there is because you hate Lothaire," I said as I started up the stairs.

"I don't hate him I just don't like how close you and him are."
