Chapter 11

Lothaire

My name is Lothaire Markus and my maker is Drake Blood. It has been years since we last saw one another. Once he went into the council I left because that place just wasn't for me. My firstborn told me about the attack and how he and a few others made it out. It's been too long since we spoke so I think it's time I go see how he is which is why I'm at his gate.

Once in front of the yard, I tied my horse up and knocked on the door. After about a minute Adam opened the door and said: "I was wondering how long it would take you to get here."

I smile and said, "It's happy to see you to brother so you going to let me in."

He moved so I could come in and as I did he said: "So how can I help you."

I looked at him as he shut the door and said: "Came to see how Drake is after all he has been through with the attack."

"Which one."

I cocked my head and said, "What do you mean which one."

"O yeah you have a lot of catching up to do."

He waved me to the living room as I thought what had I missed. Maybe I should have stayed with Drake to make sure he was safe. Once in the living room we saw Viktor just looking out at the moon. He turned his head and said, "What brings you here Lothaire."

"Came to check on Drake what else my lord."

He turned to use and said, "I will let you two talk and Lothaire after tomorrow I think you should talk to Drake."

I was about to say something but he left before I could. I looked at Adam who said, "He has been acting weird with Sonja dead and Jade getting married."

Jade yes I remember her but I never really meant her except for when I came to visit Drake. Drake always had feelings for her not that he would admit. After all, that's all he would talk about and I don't blame him she is beautiful and a natural submissive. So just his type but I wonder how he feels about her getting married.

He must have known what I was thinking because he said: "She is getting married to Drake."

I never thought Drake would get married every and the look on my face said it all because he said: "Yes that's what I said but he is happy so that's all that matters."

"Yes that is all that matter and I guess that means he is the council for good."

He shook his head and said, "I don't know with the war and her getting married I think Viktor is going to have Drake leave so she isn't in danger and so she can live her life with him being happy but that will have to wait till they are married anyway."

If he leaves the council then maybe we can travel together once more but with Jade who knows what he will want. God I just hope he will let me go with him I miss him but what Adam said early about which attack what does he mean. I looked at and saw he was sitting down in the chair. I sat down with him and said: "So what did you mean about the attacks."

He raised his eyebrow and said: "Well Jade had an admirer I guess you could say and he got a little crazy and threw her in a room filled with sunlight."

I started to say something but he said: "So Drake went in after her and they both got burnt."

"Who did it, Adam."

"Kraven."

"Figures I mean they hated each other anyway but how are they."

"Swore but they seem fine," he said, "Drake got the blunt end of it trying to shield Jade but since he is older he can handle it better."

"So she is hurt bad then."

I hope not for Drake sake. He stood up and said, "No she will just take longer to heal you now she isn't as old as him and she isn't as strong as Sonja was."

"As long as it isn't that bad that's all that matters so where is he now."

He looked at me and said "His room but I think he is asleep but you can try him."

I stood up went to leave but before I got out the doorway he said: "Do you remember where your room is."

I shook my head and he said: "Good I had a maid clean it up so sleep well and we can talk more tomorrow."

I shook my head and went upstairs to Drakes' room. I was tempted to knock but if he and Jade are asleep I don't want to wake them but as I started to leave I heard him say "Come in."

I opened the door softly so I won't wake Jade if she was asleep and said: "You always know when I'm here."

He looked at him as he said "Your my son of course I do."

God, it's good to see he is safe and sound. I chuckled at him and point to Jade who was fast asleep in his arms. He looked so happy with her so I'm sure he doesn't want me with him but I want to confirm the marriage so I said: "So heard you are getting married."

He shook his head and said, "Yes and I hope to leave the council."

He said, "I plan on taking her to my house in the woods where it is safe."

I want to go with him so looked at him and said: "Mind if I join when you do."

"Of course I don't why do think I would."

I think it is kinda obvious but I'm noting going to say that so I said: "You are getting married and how are you feeling."

'Tired and sore but other then that fine" he said, "You are my son if you want to come with me you are more then welcome to but can we talk about tomorrow night I'm tired."

Good, he is ok but tired so we can finish this in the night time. I put my head down and said: "Of course rest we will talk tomorrow good night."

He shook his head and I left for my room. Once there I saw nothing had changed with it which is good. I took my shirt off got into bed and just thought of how I can't wait to travel with him again. It will be even more interesting with Jade in his arms. I closed my eye and went fast asleep not to wake till night.
