Chapter 10

Jade

I opened my eye and found Drake still fast asleep next to me. God my body is so sore and my throat so dry. I sat up, put my feet over the bed and as I started to get up a wave of dizziness hit me making me sit back down. After my head started to clear I got up once more.

I slowly walked over to his closet and found some of my clothes. I pulled a dress down that I could easily slip on and off. I just need it to get downstairs to get something to drink. Once done I walked back out and say Drake was on his back but still asleep.

I sat down on the couch, found a pair of shoes for me to wear and slipped them on. Once done I stay there for a minute so my body could relax a bit more. I used the arm of the chair to help me stand again and went over to the door. Once there I opened it and went out but not before closing the door softly so I won't wake Drake up.

I walked out and found my way to the stair. God the thought of going down these stairs is killing me but I need something to drink. I put my hand on the railing and went down them. Once down I sat down to get my strength back and as I did I heard people in the living room so I decided to get back up and go see who it was.

Once in there I say it was dad and them talking. Once there I leaned against the doorway just waiting for them to notice me and once the did dad looked upset. I could tell he was going to come to me but Lily beat him to by rushing to me like I was going to topple over. I mean don't get me wrong I feel like hell but I can still function on my own but I'm sure dad and Drake will chew me out for this. Once over to me she just looked at me and said: "You should be in bed."

I looked at her and said, "I was hungry and Drake is still fast asleep so I came down to get something and I heard you all talking so yeah."

I turned to dad as he stood up, walked over to me and said: "Come sit down."

I looked at him and pouted "I am fine dad really just hungry, tired and sore a bit."

Lily crossed her arms and said, "That is not fine Jade."

I was going to say something but dad said: "She is right so come sit down and once you fed you are going back to bed."

I rolled my eyes at him knowing I will be fine but then again he wouldn't be my dad if he didn't worry about me. I was going to fight him but it would be useless so I did as he told me to. He leads me to the couch and sat down next to me. Once he was down I put my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes to help calm my body and the pounding in my head. I could feel my body starting to go back to sleep but before I could dad said: "Come on drink and then go back to bed little one."

I looked at him and said "Fine but I need a glass."

He gave me his wrist but instead of taking it I just tilted my head and said: "No you need your strength."

"My blood will heal you faster Jade."

Which is true but as I was about to say something I heard Drake say "Just drink and come back to bed Jade."

I think dad was going to say something but I beat him to it by saying "You should still be in bed Drake."

I watched as he leans into the doorway and said: "You were gone."

Man, I tried to be quiet but I guess I wasn't but he is older than me and has a more keen sense than me. So I looked at him and said "Sorry."

He chuckled at me and said, "Don't be just feed and come to bed."

Dad looked at him and said, "You need blood as well."

He put his hand up and said: "I will be fine."
