Ch.15
"WHAT?" Lauren screamed. I pulled the phone slightly away from my ear. "I'm fine now, and hopefully she gets put in jail or something. Her hearing is in two days so..." I trailed off. I had called Lauren as soon as I woke up, but she informed me that she had already read it in the news. "Well, as long as you're okay, then I'm happy." I could feel her smile from the other end of the phone.
"So how's Paris?" I asked her, changing the subject. "Omg. The guys here are HOT! And the coffee is great." she said excitedly. "Well, as long as you're having a good time, then I'm happy." I smiled. At least she was safe.
After saying our goodbyes and good lucks, I headed downstairs and found a gorgeous bouquet of flowers with a note tied around them. I pulled it of and smiled. 'Hope you slept well love. I've gone out to get us breakfast. Already missing you.' I smiled sheepishly, he was so cute. My phone buzzed and I picked it up. "Hello?" I went to the cupboard and pulled out a muesli bar. "Hey, it's Niall." Oh no. "Hi, what's up?" I walked over to the couch and sunk into it.
"Nothing, I was just seeing how you were." I didn't know if I should tell him about the stranger. I concluded on telling him. He had, after all, saved my life from that very person. I explained what happened with the phone call and then what happened at the club. After I told him the line was silent.
"I don't know what to say. Do you want me to come over?" I cringed. "I'm not home. I'm at Liam's." Niall sounded disappointed. "Oh." I felt so bad; I didn't need to hurt him further. "Well, as long as you're okay." I sighed. "Niall-" "No no, it's okay, honestly. I hope you're hearing goes well. I've gotta go, see you." The phone went dead and my heart sank.
I heard the door open and Liam walked in with a smile. "Good morning love! I brought some bagels." He handed me a bag and sat down beside me. "Niall rang. He wanted to know what was happening about the stranger." Liam went stiff. I didn't want to keep any secrets from him but I knew this would hurt. "Oh, alright." He was silent.
"I wanted to tell you. I didn't want to keep any secrets." I said nervously. He gently held my hand and smiled. "Thank you." He kissed my nose. "So, what do you want to do today?" I had an idea, but I didn't know if Liam would like it. "Well, since I haven't actually had a day really for myself. Could we maybe go...shopping...please?" I bit back a smile. "Only because you said please." he replied.
We went into the city and I practically died when I saw the size of the shopping centre there. This was why I had come to London in the first place. Liam was patient with me, not complaining when we went to different shops or if I took half an hour to decide on what colour to get.
At one stage, we entered Cotton On. I found a cute knit blue jumper and, to my surprise, a male one identical. I held it out to him and he started to back away. "Please, it'll be fun!" He looked at me and then at the jumper and finally gave in. He snatched it out of my hand and I clapped my hands, running off into the change rooms. Liam and I both came out of our stalls at the same time and both winked at each other. "Hey sexy." He came up and pulled me close. "Hey beautiful."
He kissed me and we heard a squeal. I turned and saw the shop assistant staring at us with a huge smile. "Oh my gosh, Liam! And Catherine! I can't believe it! Can I get your picture, you two look adorable!" How did she know who I was? The media these days was crazy. Liam agreed to the picture and we posed for the girl, making superman gestures and flexing our muscles.
"Can I get one of you kissing?" she asked nervously. I looked up at Liam and he smiled, pulling me close and kissing me. "Omg, thanks so much! My friends won't believe me if I tell them I met you!" she exclaimed. "Hold on." She dashed off and came back with another shop assistant in tow.
She handed him the camera and came over to us, putting an arm around us both. The shop assistant took the picture and she hugged us tight. Then she looked me in the eyes and smiled. "Thank you for making Liam happy." she whispered. I looked up at him and he gave me a quizzical look, but I just shrugged. I bought the jumpers for us and we left, hand in hand, while the girl waved us off.
By the time we got home, she had posted the pictures on twitter and they had gone viral. I went back onto my twitter account and saw I had at least fifty thousand followers. There was still hate but so many people were complimenting me and thanking me, just like the girl did. "Catherine!" Liam called from the lounge room. I skipped downstairs and found him on the couch watching TV. I sat down next to him and blushed when I saw the headline.
Official pictures of Liam and his new girlfriend, Catherine, have been released! They were seen posing in matching jumpers in London, both looking extremely cute together. Former hate for Liam's girlfriend has been thrown out the window, and she has been accepted into the One Direction family. Congratulations to Liam for snagging such a gorgeous lady.
The pictures from today were flashed on the screen and I couldn't help but smile. We DID look cute. "Kill them with kindness, love." he whispered. He was right, what goes around comes around, and those haters had it coming. Everything was finally cleaning itself up, and I didn't mind one bit.
