Ch.18
As I left the terminal, I spotted Lauren, Emma and my family waiting for me. I ran up to them all and hugged them tight. Yes, I may miss Liam, but I missed them so much while I was gone, and it was so good to see them again. We all piled into the seven seater and I told them about my holiday, most of it anyway. Emma was oohing and ahhing whilst I was talking about Liam and mum gave me a stern look when I let it slip that we had slept together.
We got home and I took the girls into my room, shutting the door behind us. Since we were finally alone, I gave them an overview of my whole trip. Emma's jaw was about ready to break off and Lauren gasped when I told them about the hearing. "Wow, when you go on holiday, you REALLY go on holiday." Emma huffed, lying back on my bed. "So, was he any good?" I threw a pillow at her and we all laughed.
Yes, we may be 20 and 21, but we were all still so childish, but in a good way. "If you must know, yes, he was 'good'." Lauren winked at Emma as she had the morning after our first time. "Lauren, I'm serious, stop that!" I said, trying to hold back my laughter. "So, what's the plan for you guys? Are you going to go over there or is he coming here or...?" Emma asked.
I looked down at my hands. "Well, you see, we didn't figure it out. It's too hard for me to go over there, and I don't want him to have to leave London for me. I feel selfish, you know?" They nodded in unison, like bobble-head toys on the dash of a car. I sat back in my chair and stared up at the ceiling, sighing. "You two will work it out, you're meant to be, and fate will pull you together and figure it out." Lauren announced. I hugged her, "I sure hope so."
"Well, I don't know about Lauren, but I'm glad to have you back." Emma said loudly. Lauren nodded and they both hugged me. Lauren had only been with me for a week, meaning five days, before heading off to Paris and then after another week, heading home. So it was fair to say that I really hadn't seen her for a while, and even fairer to say that I had really missed them both. Just one was missing, and Anastasia wouldn't be back for another week.
Never the less, the girls stayed over and we talked about our holidays, Lauren telling us that she met this cute guy in Paris and how Emma had finished moving in with her new and apparently sexy boyfriend, Ian. By the time we got to sleep, we only had a few hours of shut eye, and before long it was time for us to head back to uni.
I offered to take Lauren because we went to the same uni, and it was convenient that they came with Emma's car. As we parted Emma gave me a huge hug. "You'll be together, one way or another." she whispered into my ear before heading off. I really hoped that she was right.
