Kali's pov
"Now you have to be quiet for about fifteen minutes," I whispered after I looked around a corner, "there are people in the rooms but no one in the hallway thankfully."
I looked back at her and she looked excited and nervous.
"Follow me." I began to run down the hall and managed to stay quieter than a mouse. She also did pretty good herself while running down the hall.
When we got to the door I was wanting to get to I carefully opened it and had her slide inside.
All that was left between us and where I was leading her was a long spiral stair case. I hope she doesn't get too dizzy.
I had her go in front of me while we climbed the stairs because i knew it was more likely that someone would show up behind us than in front of us.
"How much farther?" she whispered as a slight whiney tone tickled her voice.
"We are almost there. Just a few more steps." I nudged her shoulder softly.
"I don't understand why you won't tell me where we are going." She whispered.
"If I told you it wouldn't be a surprise."
After a few more minutes we finally reached a door.
"Just through that door." I pointed to the thick metal door that was a few feet away from us.
"Are you sure there isn't anyone on the other side?"
"No." I said honestly and she looked scared. "But I will protect you from any danger there could be."
She looked a bit more relaxed and reached for the handle.
She gasped as soon at she had opened the door and disappeared from my sight.
That worried me so I rushed through the door to find her holding onto the railing of the balcony.
The sun had just started setting about half an hour ago.
"This is the best place to watch the sunset." I said as I placed a crate infront of the door to make sure no one would walk into this area.
I don't think it would be a good idea to try avoiding security right now. They'll just assume it's locked if they can't get through.
"I see that." Chia said looking like she's seen a once in a life time sort of thing.
I walked over and leaned against the railing and looked at her.
"Didn't we come to look at the sunset?" She asked sounding nervous.
"Of course..." I said after clearing my throat.
I turned around and watched the rays of remaining sunlight bounce off the ocean.
"You know it kinda looks like Aang is glowing." She stated looking over at Avatar Aang's statue. "Sort of like his spirit is watching over everything."
"Yea. It does look like that." I said looking at the stone figure in the distance.
I looked back over at her and she was still smiling at the sight. The colors from the sky lit up her face and gave her an extra golden glow and made her freckles seem a bit lighter.
"I can feel you staring at me again." She whispered as if someone else was around.
"I can't help it." I smiled.
She turned to look at me and I noticed a blush form on her cheeks. Then I noticed one of her eyes was the normal emerald green and the other was a smokey grey color.
