Chia-jung's POV

"Sorry but you're staying at my place tonight." Kali said as she grabbed my hand. "They will think your safe."

"She should stay on air temple island." Korra said calmly as if she was giving another option. "You'll be safer there."

"But they'll think I'm your prisoner then, because of Mako attacking me last time I was here. And they'll attack the island." After I spoke she realized I was right.

"If you need our help Asami knows where I live." Kali said before she carefully guided me to a satomobile and drove me to her house.

"Thank you for letting me stay here." I said quietly as we got closer to her house.

"Hey don't worry about being quiet were going through the front door. My mom is at the rally that they are probably freaking out about you not being there." She said as if it were nothing, but I could sense something was bothering her about it.

"I know how to make her like me. As long as she doesn't remember me from when we were arrested. Just tell her my name is Mara." After I finished explaining she smirked as if my plan would work.

"Ok but warning she wont leave you alone then."

Kali laughed before pulling me closer to her.

"Well I guess we should spend time together before she takes up my time." I teased and she grabbed my hand and guided my through the huge building.

"Kali, who is your friend?"

We froze in our tracks and we turned around to find her father with a cup of some steamy liquid in it.

"Umm..." She started to fidget with my hand.

"Oh that's the girl you were trying to impress when you got arrested." Her father said as he smiled and walked over to me. "Oh Kali your mother isn't coming back for a while."

"Why?" She let go of my hand and scratched her neck.

"I told her to either choose you or the Equalists." He stated as if it hurt him to speak about. "So we decided to spend some time apart."

I could tell she was hurt, because she knew what her mother chose.

"Sorry I was gone so long again." She said quietly while she changed the topic.

"I'm just glad your not hurt." He pulled her into a hug.

I felt a bit out of place watching them,  so I decided to look around.

"So what is your friends name?"

"Dad..." She groaned.

"Fine we can do introductions later." He said putting his hands up in defeat.  "But since your mother isn't here at the moment I'm going to need your help in the morning with a meeting. The meeting is at eight. Please dress nice. I don't care if it's suit or dress, as long as it is nice."

"Who with?"

I'm glad she at least gets along with her father.

"It is a southern water tribe trader. He is in Republic City for a short while."

"Ok. I'll be there." She said as she began to guide me away.

"Thank you."

As she guided me through her giant house eventually we ended up in her room.

"Are you ok?" I asked once she closed the door.

She turned away from me and walked over to her bed.
