How do I begin—
where does a confession start
when it has been living in my chest for so long?
Maybe this is the beginning:
admitting I can no longer hide
what has quietly undone me.
If I had told you sooner,
everything would have shifted—
the air, the silence,
the way I learned to breathe around you.
What am I meant to do
when every thought circles back to you?
I have been waiting—
not just for you,
but for the courage to say
how deeply I love you.
You probably wouldn't like me.
You don't know me.
You've never even looked my way,
not even once.
And still—
telling you this is the hardest thing I know,
because I have always understood:
it would never be easy,
and you would never be mine.
