(Told from Loki's point of view)

"Where is he?" Snape announced, walking all the way into the common room. I slouched down in my seat, almost so that my butt was hanging halfway off the couch.

The Slytherin Girl next to me looked behind the couch at Snape, and then at me. "Professor? Who are you looking for?" She stands up and walks over to him.

"I'm looking for Mr. Odinson." He tells her.

"Loki?" She asks. "Isn't he a Gryffindor? Why'd he be here?"

"In my class, he said to check The Slytherin common room." Snape replies. "Clearly, that means he's here."

"You're damn right I am." I say, rolling onto my stomach and standing up straight.

"That's an immediate detention, Mr. Odinson." He snarls. "Fifty points from Gryffindor, and you're coming with me."

"Ah ah ah!" I say. "Don't you mean... fifty points from Slytherin?"

"You're not in Slytherin." He says, his voice low and deadly. "Come. With. Me."

"Yet." I whisper, feeling a dramatic scene coming on.

Snape seems to catch on to my idea. "Don't you dare move."

"You know there's nothing you can do to stop me." I say, my lips curling into that malicious, trademark smile of mine. "Ta ta!"

Snape pulls out his wand on me, but I've disappeared already, and I run toward the door.

"Damn—" he swears, looking around wildly. I open the door to leave the common room, and unfortunately he spots the door. He reaches out and grasps my cloak, and we both fall on the ground, me reappearing.

"NO!" I shriek, scrambling up onto my feet. Snape keeps hold of my cloak, though, and I'm forced to conjure a dagger and slash my cloak free from his grasp.

"Catch me if you can!" I taunt, watching Snape get to his feet again. I disappear and sprint down the hallway, my heart racing. The reasonable place to go would be back to the Gryffindor common room, but instead, I turn the corner and find myself in front of the Gargoyle statue guarding Dumbledore's office.

"Come on, you effing door!" I snarl, stomping my foot. "Open up! I'm a god, you stupid—"

I whip around and see Snape staring at me, his wand poised. He utters an incomprehensible spell under his breath, but I jump out of the way just in time. He continues to shoot spells at me, but I sprint down the hallway away from him, turning the corner rapidly and disappearing.

Snape enters my corridor, and begins to search for me. I walk past him, still invisible, and open one of the windows quietly.

I start to climb out, sliding onto the roof right below me. When I'm finally outside, I shut the door and turn into a hawk. I begin to search for a window into Dumbledore's office.

When I find one, I sit on the windowsill and pick the lock on the outside with a dagger. I enter the office and close the window.

It's eerily silent. I tiptoe over to one of the shelves and put the sorting hat on my head.

"Now you dumbass hat, tell me where I really belong." I say out loud.

"Ah, Loki. It's you again. I've been thinking about you ever since I met you. No one else has ever been able to trick me into putting them into the wrong house." I hear it say in my head. "I told you that you were a Slytherin, but you must be wondering why I didn't put you there."

"Well, yeah, duh." I say. "And just tell me my house, I'm not interested in your philosophy."

"Loki, I thought you knew yourself well enough to know." I says.
