trapped

"shit."

pidge's hand collided with the rock wall that had just collapsed locking her and lance inside. lance put a hand on her cheek from behind. she hesitated but surrendered into his arms. 

"it's okay. hunk's probably digging through the rock right now. we'll be fine." he whispered into her hair. 

pidge simply gripped lance's jacket harder. they no armor, no Bayard, and no way to call for help. it was supposed to be a peaceful walk when they ran into hostiles. lance and pidge ran into the cave but the hostiles blew up the entrance. they were stuck with nearly no food in pidge's small backpack and lance's guitar. pidge started to cry into lance's chest. she was shaking from trying not to cry, but she was giving up. 

lance stroked her hair and held her close. lance pulled away and led pidge to the back wall. they sat down and lance held pidge close again. 

"lance... shouldn't we be able to hear someone digging?" 

lance stopped for a second.

"they'll be looking for us I promise... just try not to think about it too much," he said.

pidge nodded and sat on his lap. 

"will you play a song for me?" she asked.

"only if you sing for me," he said.

lance pulled out his guitar and started to play. pidge sang along.

lance watched pidge as she sang. he had never heard her sing before. she had a gorgeous voice. he stared in awe as she sang. pidge loved when lance played his guitar he was so good at it. he was amazing as it was but Lance knew how to change the world with his guitar. the way he played made a room fade until there was nothing but him. she loved him so much.

they knew each other's feelings but both were too scared to either, confess, or confront. it in a way sucked for both of them. pidge was getting sick of it too. she wanted to kiss him so bad. she was tired of being too scared to confess so she diced that it was now or never. once the song was over she opened her eyes to see lance staring at her. she blushed and looked away. no. she was going to do this. 

"lance... i... I love you."

"pidge... I love you"

they both said in unison. pidge looked at lance. she smiled and lept up to kiss him .he kissed back and smiled at her. just as they kissed again the yellow lion's paw burst through the rock. lance and pidge looked up at it and smiled. hunk... had been listening to it all from the other side of the rock.

"so are you guys finally official or what?" he called out.

lance looked down at pidge, "will you be my girlfriend?"

pidge smiled and kissed him again.

"woohoo! finally. plance is now official." hunk shouted.

lance just giggled with pidge.

"I love you," the said together again.
