"Mom! I- I don't want to go! I can't leave you!" Tears rolled down her cheeks as she felt her essence dissolving into ash. "Y/n, I've got you." She tried to hush the girl. "I- I'm sorry." Y/n whispered before leaving her world forever.
Hello Reader...
Okay, still no word, however, it's the weekend, and people are busy ya know? Anyways, I'm sorry everything's still short, but I promise they'll get longer! :D
Part Three: **AT LUNCH** "I've never seen you around the compound, or the tower." Peter said. "Ditto." I replied. "Ugh... This food, it's disgusting!" I exclaimed pushing the tray away from me. "Why do you think nobody eats it?" Ned asked. "You're eating it." I replied. "Well, practically everybody here, is a nobody. You're a somebody." He pointed out.
"I'm a human being... Not an alien." I replied. "Also, do you think that if I were a somebody, I would be going here?" I asked. "Okay, Ned, Y/n, stop. Honestly, you two could be the cause of the next world war." Peter replied. "Well it's true..." Ned muttered. "Besides you and Y/n, everybody else here is a nobody."
I stood up from the table and walked towards the trashcan to put my tray in there. As I was dumping it, a football knocked the tray out of my hands. A crowd of jocks pointed and laughed as I started to pick up the tray, and some of the grapes. "Ugh, boys. Football playing boys..." I muttered bitterly. "Oh, sorry," One of them called out. "Lemme come and help you." "Not what I was expecting...." I said, surprised. One of them jogged over, and started to pick up the apple slices.
"So... You're new around here?" He asked. "Well, depends I've been here for a few hours. I don't think new is the correct word." I replied. "Im Flash Thompson." He said. "I'm on the school Decathlon team, football team... I'm also getting my drivers licence renewed here pretty quick." He replied, tossing the apples into the trash with accurate aim.
"That's cool." I replied, tossing the last grape into the trash. "So, I guess I'll see you around?" I asked. "Probably." He replied. "I gotta get back, but... If you ever need a ride, here's my number..." He whispered, handing me a sliver of paper.
He jogged back to all of his friends, when I realised, he forgot the football. "Hey, Flash!" I called out. He looked back, and I tossed the ball, with a (not perfect, but good enough) spiral. He caught it, then waved. His friends slapped him on the back, and then, the bell rang. As I was walking out, I heard a bunch of girls laugh. "Oh my gosh, did you see Flash flirting with that trash picker-upper?" One of them commented.
"Yeah, she's stealing someone else's job, that they get paid for!" One replied. My face turned red with anger, but I walked on with my head down. I walked to my locker, opened it with ease this time, grabbed my binder, and rushed to theater. I tripped over someone's shoe, and before I could hit the ground, someone caught me. "Bugger." I muttered, embarrassed. I looked up and saw that it was Peter!
"Oh gosh, I-I'm so s-sorry!" I stammered, immediately picking myself up. "I tripped and... Then this happened-" I looked at him, and his small smile just melted my heart. His creamy, melted, dark chocolate brown eyes shone with a spark of happiness. "-and I sound like an id-idiot..." I continued, quickly looking away from his eyes. ***I am a mess, and I need to go dig a hole, and bury my feelings in it...*** I thought. "Are we always going to meet like this?" He asked, "You tripping into me?" He joked. I laughed, then saw the clock on the wall.
"We should get going, maybe we can hang out after school?" I suggested. "Sure? Do you wanna come over to my place, or..." "I don't care... Actually, Happy is picking me up, so we could go over to my place." I replied. "Sounds good to me." He said. "Wait, isn't robotics after lunch?" I asked. He nodded, and said, "Follow me." We dashed to class, and made it just before the bell.
"That was a close one Parker." The teacher scolded, standing up. "What's your excuse this time?" He sighed disappointedly. Before Peter could open his mouth, I spoke up, "Hi, I'm Y/n... I'm new around here, and I was having trouble with my locker. He offered to help me, and he's showing me around until I know where everything is."
"Alright, by Monday, you've better be on time. I'm not marking either of you tardy. Yet." He replied. "Get to work!" He ordered the class. "That, was close." I muttered. "If I had gotten marked tardy, I could've gotten a letter home... Or sent up to the office." Peter sighed. "Ugh, we're still sorting legos?" He asked Ned. "Heh, yeah, I think he ordered like... A million dollars worth of legos this year." He replied with a scoff. "Sorry Y/n, I was going to apologize at lunch but-" "No need. Besides, I've gotta get used to it anyways." I interrupted. "You know, the publicity and stuff..." Ned nodded in agreement.
"So... Anyone up for sorting the tiny llama pieces?" Ned asked, holding up an elbow piece. It sorta did look like a llama, now that I see it. "Nah, I'm good." I laughed, taking the tiny blue pieces from Peter. He was sorting by color, I was sorting by type, and Ned would put them in the correct container. Robotics was fun, then a timer went off.
I sure hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
