Okay, we finally get some action in this one! You know, the typical burning building, a hero... Oops. I've spilt the tea...
Here we gooooo!
A few weeks later, Part 6: "Oh... I kinda wish I didn't get the role of Katerina... I would have so much time left for research..." I muttered, tossing my backpack on the bed. My research on my past schools wasn't going very well. Every day after school, after play practice, I'd do my homework, and do research. The music changed from Hamilton, to Journey, to ACDC. After hours of searching, I was aggravated, and I felt as if I were a bomb about to go off.
"Thomas, skip this song!" I shouted, aggravated. We couldn't find any files to my sixth grade year. The classical song, Symphony No. 9 skipped, and "Another One Bites the Dust", started playing. "Thank goodness for Mr. Mercury." I murmured. "Wait a minute... I didn't start middle school till my seventh grade year!" I cursed, then started to search for seventh grade pictures.
"Could I perhaps have a name of the student we're searching for?" Thomas asked. "No. Just pull up the pictures of my fellow classmates from seventh grade." "Okay, got 'em." He stated. "Would you like me to pull up- Your father's coming down the hall." Thomas hid all of the files, and pictures and pulled up my grades on the screen. I pushed all of the files that were on paper into my closet, or into the filing cabinet, then started to read.
"Y/n?" My dad called. I pretended to not hear him over my music. "Y/n- oh for the love of Pete." He went over to my computer, and shut of my music. I turned it back on, and continued to read. He shut it off again, and I glared at him. "Dad! That was Queen you just skipped!" I complained. "Can't you wait until later?!" "I thought you hated it when I said 'later'." He pointed out. "Well, I'm busy!" I held up my books, and backpack. "I have school." I rolled my eyes and continued to read. "Y/n, do you know what happened?" He asked impatient.
"No. You never tell me anything. And you never let Thomas tell me anything either." I grumbled. "You just received a private elite training up in England. You can choose to go this year, or next year. But if-" "Dad, it's a scam. The cheerleaders up at my school had the same message. They told their parents and it was a big mess." I informed him. "Well, even if I could get you some private training would you be interested?" He asked.
"No, not really. I mean, with this being my first year of high school, I'm gonna be busy." I replied, grabbing my black backpack from underneath my bed. "I gotta go somewhere. I'm meeting some friends at the library. I'm gonna try and go without drawing a crowd. I'll take a taxi." I said, heading towards the door. He grabbed my shoulder, and looked at me. "Dad... It's gonna be fine. Besides, if I get into any trouble with robbers or something, I'll just use a gadget or two. Well, if Spiderman doesn't show up first." I continued. "That's fine, just be back here no later than 11." He warned.
I ran out of the compound quickly, and took a taxi to the library. I wandered the streets making sure my GPS kept track of where I had been. My private GPS. Not the one my dad has registered for me. Yeah... He liked to know where I am at all times. (Which is why I left it at home!) I walked to where a sandwich shop was, and ordered a ( your prefered sandwich). Walking out I could hear the sound of people screaming.
"Thomas!" I hissed, putting my high-tech sunglasses on. "Where is the screaming coming from?" "Two streets over. There's a fire. Everybody's freaking out." He replied. I shoved my sandwich in my backpack, and bolted to where the danger was. The fire department was there, restraining everybody from going in. "The fire's too hot." They'd say, making sure nobody would go in.
A shrill scream came from the burning building, and I shoved my backpack into a fireman's arms, then ran into the building. "Hey, STOP HER!" One of the firemen called. I knew a family that lived in this building. I babysat for them. If Timothy and Tanya had been hurt in the fire, I'd never be the same again. They were like family to me. I ran up the stairs as fast as I could, then stopped on the third floor. "Is anybody-" I started to cough, then I yelled, "Is anybody up here?!" I could hear scuffling, and crying on my left. ***Timothy and Tanya.*** I thought. I opened the door, and a bunch of burning wood fell. This spooked me, but adrenaline kept me going. Ash and embers dotted my face and arms, and splinters embedded themselves in my hands. I looked around frantically, and started to cough. "Timothy, Tanya-" I coughed again, then yelled, "If you're in here, make a noise!" I could hear loud sobbing, banging, and coughing in a closet. "Alright, stay there!" I grabbed a blanket, and ran to the sink.
I made sure the blanket was sopping wet, before I went over to the closet. I opened it, and saw two children, about the ages of three and four. "Alright-" They all started to cough, and I along with them. "Let's get under this blanket here, and we can get out of here. Does that sound good to you?" I asked, ushering them under the blanket. They nodded, hiccupped, and started to cough again. I made sure that they were under the blanket, and walking across the floor carefully.
There was a gaping burning hole in one of the stairs, but luckily there was a narrow gap where I could get one across at a time. "Alright, c'mere." I lifted up Tanya, and carried her across. "Stay here, I'll get your brother across-" I coughed, and went across the narrow gap once more. I held Timothy in my arms, and just as soon as the stairs gave way, he was safe on the stairs. I looked down and saw orange and yellow flames trying to reach what was just beyond reach. The children started to cry, but I told them to get outside, and get help. They bolted, but then screamed when something thudded in front of them.
It was the stupid goblin-man from the papers. The goblin went to pick up the children, when I yelled, "Touch them, and I swear you will never walk the same again you sorry excuse for a villain!" His gaze went from the children, who were crying, and choking on the smoke to me. "You? You can hardly lift yourself up from those wooden boards." He cackled, then the children ran. I coughed, and winced when his boot crushed the fingers on my right hand. "Well, I know something you don't, you dim-witted leprechaun." I coughed. "Oh, the itsy bitsy Spider, he's not invited to this... He was well taken care of before this." The grin spread from his face, and mirrored my own. "Why are you s-" I grabbed his ankle, and of course, he stepped back, accidentally hoisting me up from the dangerous flames.
"I don't need a superhero!" I coughed, then pretended to drive a punch to his left side, throwing a right punch. He doubled over, and I pushed him over the edge of the hole. He fell, and as I saw him get engulfed in flames, something hit me from behind. The fire's brilliant light faded, along with the screams, and sobs of terrified children and parents. "Am I gonna die?" I thought.
I felt a tight grip on my wrist pull me from the dark black smoke. Hot wood, and embers burned my skin as I was being continuously pulled from the building. "Oh... Mr. Stark is gonna be thrilled, when he sees who's got his daughter..." I heard someone say, the rush of wind could be felt, but I couldn't open my eyes. ***Who is this...*** I asked myself. ***Why do I feel wind...***
Okay, so, for those of you who are confused about this, I will explain what is a little confusing. If you write a question in the comments down below, if I can, I will respond. However...
The object hitting Y/n in the back of the head, is the Green Goblin's glider.
Yes, this is the Green Goblin, NOT the Hobgoblin.
I hope you enjoyed this, and the cliffhanger.... ***if this even is a cliffhanger***
