Arth had been a late bloomer. Jana knew the reason too. He had been traumatized by the rape and the fact the pregnancy was a reminder contributed to the distress Arth might have felt. He even thought he would hate his son. Buy Jana still remembers the day his son was given into his arms and Jana had cried straight two hours holding his son close.

Arth started talking much later. He started crawling and walking much later. He had been as traumatised as Jana had been during the pregnancy. He was also needy. Jana remembered how he never left his parents' side after that traumatic event. Avadh had burned down the Red Coven pack. He had made new laws which made death by silver the punishment for rape. Jana had never seen his Baba so sad and lost that his Dad had to deal with both him and Baba.

He wanted to give Arth the best. His son shouldn't suffer because Jana was a fool who trusted people to be honest. He should have known that the creep would try something. But, well.

Jana looked at Magnus who was asleep in their bed. He stirred and saw Jana who was awake, bathed and ready for the day. Magnus looked to his side to see little Arth asleep on his side.

"He was worried about you," said Jana. Magnus looked at the little wolf and nodded. He sat up.

Magnus couldn't believe the healing still and he looked back at Jana once before going into the bath.

Jana went down to make sure Samuel was also doing well. He looked at Samuel who was silent and looking out the window.

"Brother," called Jana.

Samuel turned.

"Hm, How's Magnus?" asked Samuel taking the orange juice from Jana.

"He is awake. Did not say anything. We really should have a security detail. He needs it, all three of you need it. Please tell him," said Jana

"Hmm, I will. Where is the little brat?" asked Samuel trying to lighten the mood.

"He was really upset after seeing Magnus like that. I think, his wolf recognises Magnus as his father," said Jana, unsure himself.

"Not unheard of. But rare. It is - you healed him yesterday," said Samuel, leaving his assumption unsaid.

"Brother, you better," asked Magnus who was at the door. Arth was in tow. He was holding to Magnus' hand who clearly looked unsure as to how to deal with it and Arth was rubbing his eyes sleepily.

Jana got over to them.

"What do you both want to have now?" asked Jana as he walked over to them.

"Tea and some toast would do," said Magnus.

"Tea and Tost would doo," said Arth.

Magnus looked down at him, eyebrows raised and Arth looked back at him cutely making the man sigh.

Jana snorted.

"Stop pestering him. Go find Uncle Clem if you want to trouble someone," said Jana.

Arth looked like he remembered something.

"Uncle Clem-," he pouted as he turned and let go of Magnus' hand. And then he stopped halfway and rushed over to Samuel.

"Uncle Same, you okay?" he asked the gruff tall man.

"Yeah, I am good," said Samuel after he got out of his shocked silence.

"Good," said Arth as he skipped his way to Clement's room.

Jana followed him out into the kitchen.

Magnus looked at Samuel.

"Are you really okay bro?" asked Magnus.

"Jana is rubbing off on you. Yeah, I am good. She is a ghost. It doesn't matter anymore. I don't think the thought I have about her is something one mate has for other. It was some mistake the moon goddess made," said Samuel.

Magnus sighed.

"Speaking of Jana, you know you both have to bond soon. You are weakening. Whatever happened yesterday was solely caused by that," said Samuel.

"I know. But he was raped. I- I have no clue how to bring this up," said Magnus.

There was silence from his brother.

Magnus looked up and Samuel was looking at him like he was seeing a new person.

"Am I still speaking to my Magnus who grabs ice creams and runs, who takes what he wants and never listens, "asked Samuel, rhetorically.

Magnus was silent for a moment.

"Jana, he- I don't think I will get away with taking there, I don't want to. But primarily, I think I respect him," said Magnus, silently. He did not want to deny it. Before yesterday night, he might have denied it. But he did not care if he was thought as a weak man by his brother because he said he respected his mate who ran halfway across the country leaving his pup behind to get to him.

Samuel smiled, a small, barely there smile, but still a smile.

"You know, when I see your bond, I am assured that my bonding was a mistake on the moon goddess' part," said Samuel.

Magnus smiled back, again a barely there one but still a smile.

Jana took tea and toast to Magnus who was in the mini dining room as he wanted to have a quiet breakfast. Arth was in tow. He looked at Magnus silently but sat down on the chair Jana made him. Then Jana also sat down. He served the breakfast onto each of their plates.

"You saved yourself for me," said Magnus when he was washing his hand after having used his hand to spread the jam.

Jana froze and looked at him and away.

"I tried to. I wanted to," said Jana, his voice low and looked down.

Magnus did not say anything. He looked at Jana.

"It doesn't matter. We have to look at the future. I have had my fair share of partners. Now, I - As an Alpha - Be prepared for our mating, It can't be kept aside for a foreseeable future because you saw what happened," said Magnus.

Jana was not sure how he to answer that. He was silent for sometime before he said "Okay" in response.

"Are you my dada?" asked Arth and both Magnus and Jana looked at him in shock.

"Did you ask him to ask me that?" asked Magnus, angry all of a sudden.

Jana glared at him.

"Are you insane or is this just temporary ailment?" asked Jana and turned to Arth.

"Am I not enough for you Arth? Why did you even ask that?" asked Jana.

"But when I asked Uncle Clem, he ask me to ask Afa Mag," said Arth.

Magnus looked at the child who was calling him Alpha Magnus, who was born from his mate, who was asking him if he was his dada. Magnus did not know what to say to that.

He watched as Jana took away Arth without even glancing at him as he stormed off. He could feel the betrayed feelings directed at him in his mate's mind. He saw the kid's face which was still looking at him as of for an answer. An answer he did not have.
