Jana : A Prince's Tale

In the Palace

Magnus carried Arth around as the boy was getting a bit fussy and was testing Jana's patience.

"But I wanna play Dada," mumbled Arth.

"I know, but you are not well now, once you are alright you can play as much as you want," said Magnus.

Arth was showing signs of illness since waking up.

"I think his wolf is ready to surface. His wolf knows now that wherever he is, you, his pack Alpha and dad will come looking," said Avadh.

Magnus looked at the now sleeping child. He looked unsettled even in sleep.

"I guess," said Magnus running his hand through  Arth's hair worried.

"Don't worry, We were tensed beyond belief when all four of them decided they will transform together. King and I were run over by the tykes. But we managed," said Iker.

Magnus nodded.

He looked at Jana who came around and placed a calming hand on him as he shook Arth a bit to make him have some lunch.

Jana turned to his parents and rolled his eyes.

"You are not in your twenties anymore, both of you, It's past lunchtime and I am sure Carles wouldn't approve of you both starving yourself," said Jana glaring both of them down and made them sit down to have lunch.

Magnus looked at both the parents.

"I hope you are learning valuable lessons," said Iker and Avadh snorted.

"Dada you eat too," said Arth.

"I am bringing your Dada's lunch. Just have yours now," said Jana as he was halfway to kitchen.

Magnus almost scowled but knew better than to argue with Jana when he was tensed and worried about their brothers.

They all looked up as Samuel and Carles walked in. Carles looked at his parents.

"I will just show Alpha Samuel our room," said Carles.

Both nodded.

He then nodded to Jana and Magnus and led Samuel up. Samuel looked at Magnus for a moment before they left.

Samuel looked at Carles who smiled at him fondly. "You get fresh, I will- did you bring clothes?" asked Carles.

Samuel nodded.

There was a knock on the door and Jeet stood there with the clothes.

Jeet waved and ran off.

Samuel freshened up and then Carles went in. He came out to see Samuel leaning into the bed mast as he sat there deep in thought.

Carles went and sat next to him. Samuel looked at him.

"Do you think Jeev is Clement's mate?" asked Samuel.

"It's impossible, though I wish it was possible," said Carles.

Samuel nodded.

"So, will you come with me to - ahm- Hallerbo? " asked Samuel.

Carles nodded.

"Where else would I be?" asked Carles.

Samuel looked at Carles.

"Do you know - Have you ever heard about me?" asked Samuel.

"I am sure every living werewolf and the supernatural have heard of Samuel Mantini, the deadliest Alpha in the history of Northern packs," said Carles.

Samuel looked at him.

"They are not wrong. I was- am a monster," said Samuel.

Carles placed his hand on the man's shoulder.

"You are mine, Moon goddess gave you to me because you- Alpha Samuel - you are mine," said Carles.

Carles kissed his mate on his cheek. He took in the sight of the man. He had thought his mate was dead because of the emptiness in him.

Samuel and Carles went down and sat with the family for lunch.

Samuel looked at Magnus.

Magnus sighed and explained his theory. 

Samuel just gave a curt nod of agreement. 

On seeing Samuel, Arth smiled and ran over to him. On touching him, Samuel could sense he was not well.

"We should take the pup back to the pack land before he starts to shift. I can see it. And it's not pretty when they are not on the pack lands. You remember what happened with Ily," said Samuel.

Magnus nodded. His face worried as he looked at his pup. The pup, however, has climbed on his uncle's lap and sat on his thigh as he began eating from said Uncle's plate.

Carles smiled as he helped Arth have food while making sure that Samuel would be able to eat too. Samuel shook his head and lifted Arth and held him in his arms as they ate so that Arth could see the table properly.

Magnus looked at Jana who smiled.

"He has everyone wrapped around his little finger," said Magnus.

Jana nodded.

Later, in their room Jana was clearing out a cupboard.

"I- I would never touch anyone other than you, I  hope you know that. I agree it was a mistake to take those women with me. I am sorry I didn't listen to you. But What got you so furious about it?" asked Magnus.

Jana looked at the man.

"Are you dense. You are my mate. I will be jealous of every single person who is not family and they deign it fit to come 5 meters close to you," said Jana.

Magnus looked at Jana whose cheeks flushed.

"While I am thoroughly blown, I get this feeling that there is something you are not telling me," said Magnus.

Jana was silent for some time.

"You are not going to let it go, are you!" scowled Jana.

Magnus shook his head.

"Some of them always tells me stories the old of the outhouse. I cringe when I look at it. They challenged me saying that they will bed you and have me and our son kicked out of the pack. It is funny because they don't even know who I am. I can't believe I let it affect me," said Jana.

Magnus lifted his face.

"I repeat, I will never ever cheat on you. I will always be yours, even in death and them, I think we both know how to punish scum," said Magnus.

Jana blushed as he hugged the man tight and breathed his scent in.

"I was so worried you might not come," said Jana.

"How can I not? I was also surprised. But then I realised, you took a half of me here and you also took my oldest child," said Magnus.

Jana smiled, tears streaming down his eyes as he looked at his Magnus.
