I wrote this one while staring at my 221B Baker Street board game.
It's short, sweet and I love it!
Please request stuff! Just message me and I'll do it (i feel like I'm getting my mojo back and I feel good!)
Oh Michael Terry Grant. Aren't you just beautiful?

You stared into space momentarily and chewed your lip, frowning as you tried to figure out the clue.
A hen that can't pronounce her H's. What did that mean?
Across from you, your boyfriend, Wendell Bray was in a similar position. You had no idea what clue he was mulling over but you were both confused.
"I'm so confused."
"Thats your natural state of being but same." Wendell commented. You looked up at him and gave him a deadpan expression.
"Just because I don't work for the Jeffersonian and am not a smartie pants, does not instantly equate to me being always confused." You responded, tucking your legs under you so that you were more comfortable.
"Babe, yesterday you stared at dinner like you had no idea where it came from then commented that it tasted like chicken."
"It wasn't chicken?"
"It was mac and cheese." Wendell gave you one of those lopsided grins that made your heart flutter.
Looking back to your piece of paper, you frowned.
"I still can't figure this out. Who's idea was it to play this?" Wendell chuckled and put his paper down and stood up, stretching.
"Yours, remember? Because the TV blew and you wanted to watch 'Sherlock' and then your computer died and you left your charger at the FBI office." You frowned and then your face lit up with a smile.
"Thats right! I really am terrible at planning a date night, aren't I?" You pouted. Wendell came to sit beside you on the couch and wrapped an arm around you and pulled you back so that you were resting on him. His arm curled around your stomach and he kisses your neck.
"No, you may not be the best at planning a date night but you make a sweet effort. And I love you for it."
"Aww that's sweet. I love you too." You snuggled into his embrace and both of you sat in silence for a while, staring into space. You listened to his heart beating under your shoulder, the rhythm of it comforting and familiar.
"Y/N?"
"Mmhmm?" You shifted so that you could look at him. To make yourself more comfortable, you slung your legs over his lap.
"Marry me." You froze.
"What?"
"Marry me." Wendell repeated, tucking a strand of hair behind your ear. "Make me the happiest human being alive. Do the least confusing but the most exciting thing that can be done in this life. Marry me." He murmured, watching your face. You had forgotten to breathe. And your heart was racing at an impossible, probably deadly rate.
But you didn't care. Unfortunately, you didn't choose your words very wisely when it came to responding.
"Do tellietubbies have a specific routine that they follow in the morning?" Wendell stared at you in confusion.
"What? I ask you to marry me and you think of tellietubbies?" You laugh, realising what you had said.
"I'm sorry, honey. I didn't think. Well actually, I answered your question with with a question that had the same answer. Which is yes. Yes I will marry you. I would love to be confused for the rest of my life and I want to do that with you." Wendell's face grew into a smile as he pulled you into his lap and kissed you. He pulled away when he felt your wet cheeks.
"Why are you crying?" He brushed the tears away, his hand lingering to warm your face.
"I have no idea. I'm just so happy." You laughed and cupped his face, kissing him once more. When he pulled away again, it was quick and he had an apologetic look on his face.
"I'm so sorry. I almost forgot the most important part." He lifted his leg and went for his pocket.
"I honestly didn't realise that farting was the important part." Wendell gave you a look that caused you to giggle. From his pocket, he pulled out a small velvet box.
"I almost forgot the most important part." He opened it, revealing the most beautiful ring you had ever seen. Gasping, you took the box from him and stared at it.
"I'm supposed to wear this?"
"Well I would hope so." You tilted your head.
"I don't want to lose it. Wendell, I would lose my head if it weren't permanently attached to my neck." Wendell took the box from you and pulled the dainty ring out. Gently taking your left hand, he pushed the ring onto your finger.
"I have faith in you. And I'll be here to remind you. For the rest of our lives." You giggled and looked in awe at the ring as it glimmered in the light from the lamp.
"I can't imagine what my parents will say." You whisper, fascinated by the way the diamond sparkled and threw little rainbows onto Wendells face. "You're my pot of gold attached to the end of the rainbow."
"And you're my rainbow. Plus, your parents already know so, they'll be happy." Throwing your arms around Wendells neck, you smiled.
"I love you, Wendell Bray."
"I love you too, future Mrs Y/N Bray. "
