No One's P.O.V
"How hard is it to deliver this shit? We've got customers waiting for a new buzz!" Zayn shouted down the phone, ignoring the fact that Ash was laid beside him, pretending to be fast asleep. Its been a week since things were fixed, since she started college, since Zayn started to 'change'. But by the sounds of this conversation, things were back to normal, Zayn hadn't changed, and was still dealing illegal drugs and other stuff. He promised that night he proposed, that he'd try and get a better job, a proper job so he could supply for a family, without having the fear of getting nicked. But obviously, Zayn couldn't stay away, he knew he couldn't leave this behind. He'd been in the game for so long, there is no way out. You either die, or rot in a cell. Either way you'll suffer.
"Just make sure its here tomorrow, I'll get shot if its not delivered by next week!" He hissed, slamming his phone down on the draws beside him. He let out a stressful sigh, looking back at the peaceful looking Yashita. It hurt him knowing he lied to her, made a promise he clearly couldn't keep. "You look stressed baby, what's wrong? Is it the job hunting?" Yashita whispered, pretending to know nothing. No matter how much she wanted to scream at him, tell him he's stupid for lying, she had to catch him in the act, else he'll make excuses, thinking she was following him, that she doesn't trust him. Zayn sighed, running his fingers through his thick mucky hair. "Yeah," He lied, "Just can't get anything... I have no degrees or anything." He shook his head in shame towards himself, knowing he told yet another lie.
Ash just sighed, knowing it ws just another lie, another excuse, another cover up. How many more lies until he finally realises what he's doing is wrong? "Haven't you got college today?" He asked her, running his fingers through her hair. She nodded slowly, pushing herself out of bed towards the shower. Zayn took this chance to clean up for her, anything to keep himself busy. He always seemed to do this lately, every time he lied, he'd do something nice for her. Not that she minded, she loved the attention from him, but she wanted him to do it because he wanted to, not because he's done something wrong. As the water trickled down her body, she thought about the past year with Zayn, whether it was worth it, whether it still is worth it. As she climbed out, wrapping a towel around her small body, Zayn rushed out the door, slamming it behind him, making Yashita's heart sink. Not that she expected anything more. Just another day full of lies.
Flash Back
"He just... Its like he can't be around me for more than an hour... Jess, what if I'm just someone he runs to? What if there is someone else?" Yashita sighed, running her fingers through her hair, pulling slightly as she tried to release any anger. This was one of many times Zayn had just left without saying anything. "Don't think like that. You know what his life is like.." She mumbled, trying her best to comfort her friend, but even Jess herself was unsure as to what she should say. Yashita sat there, staring into nothing as she thought about what to do. Obviously she chose the same option, every time.
End of Flash Back
*Few hours later*
"I don't know what to do Harry... I know he's still involved in the shipment and stuff.. I'm not stupid." Yashita sighed, running her fingers through her hair while Harry passed her a cup of coffee. He simply shook his head, unable to find words to help her through this. It was no lie he still had feelings for her, and that he'd do anything to stop her from going through this. But he pushed it aside, like he always did. It only showed how much she meant to him, only when she needed help. Not that it was fair on him, but he never complained. "I think you should catch him in the act.." He mumbled, running his hands through his hair in frustration. Yashita sighed, keeping her head low. "It wouldn't work.. He can't get out of this Harry..." She whispered, finally looking up at him. He saw the pain, the tiredness, the strain in her eyes.
"Its not easy to get out of Ash. I could walk away right now, and never be a target again. But Zayn? He's too far in, he's caused too much shit between gangs and shipments, I'm sorry Ash.."
Within those few hours, after Harry had left and all was done. She thought about what her next move would be.

As Zayn started loading the craters off the van, little did he know he was being watched. His every move was monitored. Not by an enemy, far from an enemy. She stood there, her shaken hands covering her mouth as she watched him continue so casually, wondering how he could ever lie to her, how he could just carry on without feeling guilty. She waited for the right moment, the perfect moment to go down there and approach him. She walked slowly, keeping her eyes open in case anyone was in fact watching her. "Zayn?" She mumbled, just loud enough for him to hear. His head shoots round, and sudden guilt runs through his body. His mouth is ajar, trying to find the words to explain himself, but there was none. He was caught in the act, and he knew he was in the wrong now. Tears started to run down Yashita's cheeks as he stumbled on his words. "I... Ash I.." He couldn't even talk. Couldn't even say sorry. His mind was blank, his stomach had sunk.
"Don't even say anything. You promised Zayn.. Promised you'd get the out of this shit!" She exclaimed, throwing her hands up in frustration. He stood there, listening to every word she was saying, ever word that was aimed at him was like a stab in the stomach. "I can't believe you'd even think you can get away with this! Zayn are you stupid? You're dropping off this crap, in a public place at 2 in the morning where police basically hide round every corner for people like us! You really want to risk our future for shit like this when you're inteligent enough to get a decent paid job?" She cried, shaking her head as she waited for a reply. A crack of a stick disturbed the silence, and soon Harry was stood beside Ash, ushering her towards his car so she could at least get home safe. "Ash I'm sorry okay? I've been looking I swear!" But the explanation was too little, too late.

"You should sleep..." Harry whispered as Ash sat there staring at a blank wall, recent events finally caught up with her emotions. Where as on the other side of town, her other side, her rock, her world, was now delivering one last delivery. The last one he'd ever make before he finally called it quits. "Alright, that's everything.." He mumbled to the guy, collecting his money as the gang rushed off to their cars and was off within a flash. As Zayn stashed the money in his pocket, climbing back into his van, flashing lights and sirens surrounded him, a spotlight in his eyes as police began to shout. "Zayn Malik you're arrested under the suspicion of drug abuse, murder, abuse and drug use,You do not have to say anything, but it may harm your defence if you do not mention when questioned something which you later rely on in court. Anything you do say may be given in evidence. Do you understand?"
People don't understand the pain they have caused, until they feel it themselves.
