As Yashita spent the night piecing together all the reasons as to why she kept holding on, Zayn laid beside her, his arm around her waist and his mouth slightly open, his soft breathing filled the room. The day had felt like a year, the lies, Zayn being released, cameras everywhere and judging eyes around the court room. The boys and the girls were due to arrive home the following day, but this was not something they wanted to come home to. A messy house from the continuous arguing after Yashita's breakdown, it was obvious to Zayn that he had pushed her limits now. The constant lies, sneaking around and breaking her heart. All for what? A little bit of money? He knew, as soon as she began smashing and throwing all their belongings in the living room, he knew he had to change. He knew that if he wanted to keep her in his life, he had to change. The anger, the lies, the dealing... It all had to change. He couldn't lose her, he couldn't lose someone who holds him down too much. Through all this drama, through all the punches he's taken, gun shots, threats... It was her who gave him strength to carry on. How could he lose something so precious? So amazing? If he hadn't of loved her, fallen for the girl who lived next door, he would be lonely. He wouldn't have a reason to live, a reason to breathe, his life would be far more worse than it is now. As he laid sleeping, Yashita was busy thinking. Thinking about what you may ask?
Yashita thought about her life before Zayn, how simple the world was, less drama, less anger and less heartbreak. She could walk down the street without being afraid who's hit list she was on, who was planning to take her or hurt her. She concentrated on the things that mattered the most in life, her school, family and friends. She had the same routine day in, day out. But, she began to think about how things had changed since she had met Zayn. She remembers the butterflies she got when he climbed through her window, the thrill of sneaking around and the excitement of being a secret. like a sort of mystery for the rest of the world to solve. Things were not so complicated then, it wasn't until the whole world knew, that it started to become a whirl wind of crazy. I suppose you could say that's when Zayn's true colours showed, when the rest of the world was against them. Yashita knew from the start that Zayns's life was complicated, she didn't know it was going to get this much. How could he keep all those lies from her if he loved and trusted her? That's the thing about love, it makes you do crazy things to protect each other, even the simplest lie can have a huge impact. Love makes you do that, when you get so angry sometimes you don't even think, and soon you get yourself into a mess which is made up of one little lie that lead to more little lies that you don't even realise you have said. Love makes you do that. Love makes you hide things from your past, so they don't feel your pain or imagine you as that person. Love makes you hide little things, a text message off the opposite sex, an old photo or an old contact. Love is the source that drives people to insanity. You become so attached to someone that even the slightest change towards you drives you up the wall. So attached that even when they aren't with you, but with other people you become jealous that others have their attention. So crazy in love with them that you end up driving each other crazy, arguing over silly things to soon make up and continue as if nothings wrong. yashita had become so in love with Zayn that she had become blind to any evil in him, she couldn't see anything wrong with the guy. Others could see he was dangerous, if they knew what he did they'd stay away, if they knew how he acted towards Yashita sometimes... They'd tell her to leave.
But she couldn't. No matter how many times he had lied, how many times he had hurt her or how many mistakes he made, she would never leave him. How could she after all the good things he's done for her. Given her a home, excitement in her life, love, happiness. If they were going to make this work, they were going to have to pull together.
The Next Day
The house was silent once more, Yashita walked carefully upon the broken glass and memories on the floor from the night before. Last nights argument running through her head and soon, tears were falling down her face. Zayn sat in the kitchen with a coffee, pushing one along the table towards Yashita as she walked through. They both looked at each other, tired eyes, pale faces... Nothing but exhaustion could be seen. Yashita sighed quietly and sat opposite Zayn, giving him a little smile as she took the coffee mug. Neither of them dared to speak, too much had been said already, but the silence couldn't last forever. "I'm sorry" Zayn's broken voice bellowed through the room, he knew exactly what he had to do, but didn't know how. "I know..." Ash replied, refusing to look at him. She knew he was sorry, he was always sorry. No matter what was said, what he had done, in the end he was always sorry. But this time it wasn't enough, and Zayn knew that. "I'm going to change..." He mumbled, reaching his hand out to touch Ash's, but she moved it away shaking her head. "I've heard that too many times" She sighed, running her fingers through her hair.
Zayn couldn't bring himself to look at her properly, to admire her features like he did every morning. He knew he'd just find a broken girl, too tired to fight for what she wants. "Is this really the end? Like for us?" He asked, his lips shaking and his heart began to beat fast. He was scared of the answer, so so scared of what she could say. This was make or break for him, so when he had nothing but silence in return, he broke. Zayn stood up from his seat, chucking his coffee mug into the sink, making Yashita jump as it smashed and darted into different directions. Once again she had prepared herself for another fight, but this time she won't be shouting, or getting angry. She will be making her decision. "Zayn you can't get angry every time things don't go your way.." She whispered, almost to scared to speak up. But Zayn knew she was right, he was supposed to be changing and all he was doing was expressing his anger in the wrong way. He sighed, falling to the floor as tears ran down his face. "I don't want this to be the end Ash... Not after everything. You can't just leave me like I'm nothing!" He shouted, his hands began to shake as the thoughts of being alone without her filled his head. She walked over to him, pushed his legs apart and sat between them with her back to him, his arms instantly wrapping themselves around her. "I never said I was leaving Zayn... I can't lie, the thought has come to my head" She whispered, and his heart began to break with every word. She had thought about leaving him, he pushed her that far she had second thoughts.
"But, I can't leave you. We've been through too much and we both have too much baggage for anyone else to handle. Things need to change Zayn, big time. I can't keep wondering if every time you leave the house if you're going to come home... Its time to pull together, clear your bad name and get a good job, settle down and move away from this place Zayn. Are you with me?"
"Always"
*7 Years later*
As Yashita looked through the kitchen window at her two children running around in the sunshine laughing and screaming as Zayn chased them with the water pipe, she thought about how lucky she was. She had a beautiful family, a beautiful home, a rewarding job and a supportive husband. Looking back on the years, it wasn't easy getting to where they are now. In fact, Zayn had only just got his job sorted. He finally turned his life around and pushed to get where he is now. They both did.
"Always" He whispered
And 'Always' he stayed.
