Yashita's P.O.V
After Zayn left if gave me some time to finish everything upstairs and finally get ready for the meal tonight. I couldn't help but go over what Zayn said. 'We can't be seen at school together' What is that suppose to mean? Sure, he said it was because he wasn't the person I thought but, I don't get it. He can see me outside of school, but not inside? I shook my head, chuckling coldly to myself. I finished curling my hair, just as the doorbell rang. "Ash, could you get that? I'm busy cooking!" Mum shouted from the kitchen. I rolled my eyes, turning off my straighteners before rushing down the stairs, straightening my top out before opening the door. Zayn stood there, in a two piece suit, a gorgeous smile on his face and flowers in his hands. Beside him was a smaller lady, much older than Zayn. She had beautiful dark hair, amazing eyes, and a pretty smile to go with it. "Hi." I smiled, handing out my hand to her. She smiled widely, shaking my hand before introducing herself. "I'm Patricia, Zayn's mum.." She smiled, kissing my cheek. "Hi, I'm Yashita, but you can call me Ash.." I smiled, moving out the way of the door so they could come through. "Living room is this way." I smiled, walking into our new living room. "Would you like a drink?" I offered, before they sat down. "Could I just have an orange juice?" Patricia asked, flashing me a smile. I nodded, turning to Zayn who still hadn't said anything since he walked in. "Urm, Water please.." He coughed, avoiding eye contact. I smiled the fakest smile I could, before making my way into the kitchen. "Are they nice?" Mum whispered, stirring some weird curry looking sauce. "Patricia is, I think Zayn has two personalities.." I hissed, attempting to grab a cup. "Want some help?" I heard a raspy voice from behind. I looked round to see Zayn standing there smirking. I looked at mum, who just sent me a wink before walking into the living room. I turned back to Zayn, shaking my head before climbing onto the counter, grabbing both cups and placing them on the side, before attempting to get down safetly. But of course, life had other plans. Just as I set my foot down,ready to jump, I slipped on the surface, sending me backwards towards the floor. As I prepared myself to hit the hard ground, two big, warm arms scooped me upwards, bringing me back to my feet. I mumbled something along the lines of 'Thanks' before walking to the fridge to grab the Orange juice.
"You know, I don't get why you're avoiding me.." Zayn mumbled, probably more to himself. I shook my head, chuckling quietly. I filled his glass with water, shoving it towards him before making my way into the living room. Mum and Patricia seemed to be getting on just fine, laughing and giggling to themselves. I handed Patricia her orange before sitting on the sofa opposite to everyone. Luckily it was a one seat sofa so I didn't have to deal with sitting with Zayn. I don't know what I have against him. Maybe it was the fact that he just blew me off, telling me I can't talk to him at school. The fact that he might be my only friend when I even start this school and he doesn't want to help me even make other friends? "So, Yashita, when will you be starting school?" Patricia asked, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Tomorrow, I think.." I smiled, fiddling with the bottom of my jumper, something I did when I was nervous. "Ah, maybe Zayn could show you around.." She smiled, nudging Zayn who was sat beside her. "We won't be in the same class.. "Zayn mumbled, not even looking my way. I mentally rolled my eyes. Ill go check on dinner.." Mum mumbled, sending me a weak smile. I knew she could feel the tension between me and Zayn. "let me help.." Zayn offered, rushing out of the living room before mum could protest. "So, Yashita, I must say, you are much more beautiful than Zayn described.." She smiled, making me blush. He described me to hiis mum? "Thank you.." I smiled, biting my lip slightly. She sighed deeply, looking towards the fire place. "You know, I never understand why Zayn can't go for a girl like you.. Responsible, respectable, honest..." She trailed off, running her hands through her hair. "I'm sure he'll find someone like that someday.." I chuckled nervously, focusing on something else other than her. "He gets himself into trouble, all the time and... I'm scared that.... One day he'll..." Tears were rushing down her face as she broke down in front of me. I rushed to her side, rubbing her back in comfort. "It'll get better, I promise you.. I'd try and help him but, he won't let me in... "I whispered, hearing her soft cries surround us. She shook her head. "this is stupid I'm sorry.." She stuttered, standing up from her spot. "Lets get you sorted out okay?" I smiled, taking her into the bathroom. I feel sorry for her, knowing that she's scared of her own son, and what he'll become, what he already is.
================================
"This is Delicious Tina, thank you.." Patricia smiled, making my mum blush a deep red. I'm sat next to Patricia, while Zayn decided to sit opposite me, next to mum. I finished my tea, pushing my plate away before looking down at my hands, anything to avoid Zayn's gaze. "You know, you have a wonderful daughter Tina, she's so polite.." Patricia beamed, wrapping her arm around my shoulder. My mum nodded, "She's well behaved, keeps herself, to herself..." She smiled, collecting the plates. "no I'll do that.." I offered, taking the plates out of my mothers hands. She gave me a weird look, pacing the plates to me. I walked into the kitchen, running the hot water before chucking some soap. "Where's your dish cloths?" I heard Zayn mumble, I rolled my eyes turning around before pointing to the draw. He mumbled something along the lines of 'thanks, so kind' I didn't look up to look at him, I didn't want to. "Ash, please just say something.." He pleaded, taking the plate out of my hands to dry it. What was I suppose to say. 'Oh, thanks for saying you can't be friends with me' or 'did you know your own mother is scared of you?' I heard Zayn sigh, moving around the kitchen slowly. I finished the last plate, emptying the water before attempting to walk into the living room, but Zayn stood in my way, chucking the tea towel on the floor. "Tell me what I've done?" He hissed, pushing me backwards into the wall. I shook my head, turning away from his stare. "What the fuck is wrong with you? Is it because I said we can't see each other in school?" He snapped, leaning his head closer to mine. "At least my mum isn't scared of me.." I whispered, pushing him backwards before rushing into the living room before he would say anything. "We've got to go now Zayn..." Patricia mumbled, looking behind me, I'm guessing where Zayn was standing. "Thank you for coming over.." I smiled, walking over and giving her a hug. "I'm always here.."I whispered in her ear, pulling back and sending her a sympathetic smile. As she turned to my mum, Zayn walked over, telling me to walk out front. Obviously, me not wanting to cause a scene, I made my way outside, standing against the wall.
"What?" I spat, crossing my arms against my chest. He sighed, running his hands through his hair. "Do you know how hard it is for me right now?" He exclaimed, moving towards me with a face filled with anger, making me flinch. He saw my action, and his face softened. "I don't wanna hurt you..." He whispered, moving towards me, but slower this time. His arms reached my waist, pulling me against him. "Its so hard to stay away from you, but I have to.. You'll get hurt.." He whispered softly, his lips hovering mine. "Get hurt from what?" I mumbled, suddenly finding my voice. "Me, others.. I'm not who you think I am.." And with that, he closed the gap between our lips, sending sparks through my whole body. It was just, perfect. He pulled away quicker than I wanted him to. He sent me a sympathetic smile, before looking towards the door. Just on cue, Patricia and mum walked out, mum giving me weird looks once more before smiling and waving them off. I couldn't do anything, I was just, stuck. I was in shock. If Zayn didn't want to hurt me, why did he kiss me? "Come on you've got school tomorrow.." Mum smiled, pulling me out of my daze. I hurried upstairs, switching my bedroom light on and looking though the window, the window that led to his. I saw him, sat on the bed, holding something sharp and shiny, like a knife. He placed it in his pocket, grabbing his coat before rushing out the door. Why would Zayn be carrying a knife? Why? I shook off the thought, realizing its not my place to judge him on what he does. I showered and brushed my teeth, getting my clothes ready for the day ahead. 'you'll get hurt..' Was that another warning? Was he purposely trying to push me away? But, if he was then why did he kiss me?
"Mum.." I sighed, sitting on the sofa beside her. She was sat watching pretty little liars. She turned her attention from the telly to me. "What's wrong? You look like someone's just shot you." She chuckled, pausing the telly. "Mum, if a guy told you he couldn't see you, but kisses you... What do you do?" I sighed, running my hands through my hair. You see, me and my mum have a good, close relationship, we can talk about everything. "This is about Zayn isn't it?" She mumbled, stroking my hair. "mum, he just turns up, and then tells me he can't hang around with me, and then kisses me!" I cried, leaning my head on her shoulder. "Just ignore him okay? He isn't worth it.. Now get to bed, you have school tomorrow.." She kissed me forehead before helping me stand up. Maybe she's right, maybe I should just stay away from him. That'll probably be best, then he doesn't have to worry about anything. Right?
