Cleo woke up with her  head on Dominic's chest

She quickly sat up realizing they were basically cuddling but she slightly smiled to herself

"Hey you okay?"

He asked

"Yeah I'm fine it's just-"

"We don't know each other that well right"

"Yeah I guess"

"Maybe we could get to know each other a little more then"

"Yeah that would be cool"

Cleo said biting the inside of her lip

"Hey Dominic what time is it?"

"12:25 in the afternoon"

"Oh shit I have to go my mom is gunna freak"

Cleo said while quickly getting her stuff on

"Here I'll walk you"

"Oh no that's fine you don't have to"

"No I want to"

He says smiling she blushes a little and smiles back

Then both leave and start walking to Cleo's house

Then get there and she can already here the yelling from her mom

She sighed and looked down, Dominic put his hand on her shoulder and said

"Hey are you okay?"

She sniffed and looked up at the sky while wiping away her tears

"Um yeah I'll be fine"

She said trying so hard to hold back the tears but they somehow they push their way out and Dominic sees

Without saying a word he pulls her in and hugs her

"Does your mom hit you?"

He asks

"Sometimes when she's drinking a lot"

She says as her voice breaks, he holds her in his arms longer and hugs her harder ands she began to cry even more

In that moment he fell in love with her, and he knew at first he just thought it was too soon

But his heart started to race and his face naturally relaxed into a soft smile and it hadn't done that in a long time

She pulled back slowly

"I should go in before she gets angrier"

She said

"Don't go in there I don't want anything to happen to you, here I'll take you to get some hot chocolate and by the time you get back your mom will be asleep"

He suggested she nodded and they walked over to the little cafe that was a block away from her house

Dominic told her to sit while he got the drinks which he insisted on paying for

He came back and sat across from her, he handed her a hot chocolate and he bought her a brownie to make her feel even more happy

"Oh Dom you didn't have to do this"

She said

"Dom?"

He said smiling a little bit

"Oh I'm sorry I just-"

"No no no, it's cute, the only other people who call
Me Dom is my band buddies"

"I guess I'm an exception"

"Yeah i guess so, and of course I did I don't like to see you cry"

He said, she got really cold and started shivering so she cupped her hands around her cup for warmth

"Here let me"

He says and he takes off his jacket and wraps it around her

"Thank you"

She said smiling, as he was about to get up she put her hand on his and said

"Stay, besides I need the extra warmth"

So he sat back down, and first they were sitting awkwardly next to each other then Cleo rests her head on his shoulder

Dominic's cheeks started to heat up and he had a big smile on his face, he then wrapped his arm around her

"I don't understand what my mom wants from me your asking a 17 year old to babysit you drunken self all day everyday, and it's so tiring she nags me all the time and I have to do everything because she unable to do literally anything I'm lucky that she still handles bills once in awhile even that I have to do sometimes, and it sucks because no matter what she does I will still love her and I will still do what I have to for her, I had to grow up fast just to live a stable life and sure everything might be okay except for my mom but I'm not okay but no one really cares about me not even my mom... sometimes she gets so shit faced that she forgets I'm her daughter or that I even exist"

She let out and Dominic listened to every bit of it and he could hear the pain in her words he can feel what she feels and what she's feeling hurts like hell

"I care... and I know we have only known each other for 4 days but I care"

He said, Cleo's heart started to melt from ice solid to fiery hot, that very sentence is the first time someone has ever said they cared about her

Dominic walked her home

"Be careful okay and call me if anything happens"

He said

"I will thank you for being here"

Cleo said then she walked closer to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek the she walked to her door and he started to walk away

"Dom wait don't you need your jacket"

She says

"No you keep you look better in it than I do anyways"

He says smiling then he walked away
