Heart Palpitations

Cleo woke up next to No one the next morning, but Carlos left her a note

'Had to leave early they called me in to pick up a shift for this guy I'll see you later though P.S left you some food and a new pack of cigs'

She looked at like time and saw that it was right only 11:00am

So she decided to go out to get milk and bread for the apartment then head to work

She put one a very simple outfit on with her platform Docs and left the house

She got the milk and bread and brought it back to the apartment the when to work

She hoped she didn't see Dom again today not after everything with her and Carlos

No one was working with her and the place was pretty quite so she decided to go out for a smoke

She sat on the bench in front of the store and smoked while she continued to read this book she's been reading

"Can I bum a smoke from ya?"

She heard a painfully familiar English accent say beside her

"Dominic"

She said coldly while still staring at her book

"Correct, sorry to disappoint"

"What do you want"

"I want to talk to you"

"There's nothing to talk about Dominic"

"That's and understatement"

"Our love was an understatement, apparently"

She said walking back into the store with Dominic following behind her

"Why would you think that"

He as he turned her around, she looked him in the eyes and he could see the pain in her eyes it was like nothing he has ever seen

She started to tear up so she immediately went to the back room to avoid crying in front of him, but Dominic was not going to give up on her now

He went in the back room and heard sniffles

He saw her sitting on boxes crying, he sat beside her

"I thought about you everyday I missed everything about you, your smile, your kiss, your lips, even waking up next to you"

"You missed me so much that you started dating Her"

"She wasn't who I wanted"

"It seemed like it the last few months of us dating"

"I was confused baby"

"Don't do that, don't call me baby to pull me back in"

He touched her leg and looked at her

"I don't need to pull you in, you're already in because you love me"

He said making her look at him, then they started to lean in and they kissed

He put his hand on her waist and pulled her closer, he started moving his hand up her shirt so she took it off

She wasn't giving herself any time to this about what she was doing because she wanted and missed him so bad

His touch felt right, his kisses were a delight then he whispered in her ear

"I'll make you mine again"

It all got intense

the air got stuffy and dense

She threw her feelings and Conscience over the fence

They both knew that this was right

Staying up at all hours of the night trying to fight it

They would see each other in their dreams

They were connected all over again

She wrapped her hand around him,

Touching his soft skin,

Kissing his soft lips,

All she ever wanted was this, was him

He scanned her body like it was a work of art, and to him it really was

Every curve and crevices was perfect in his eyes

When they were done she felt a type of way

A way that you can explain

It's like your heart is beating out of your chest and it won't give you a rest

She love him more than she loved her own mother

Because to her there was no other

No one to make her feel so sad

But no one to make her feel so happy

He put her hand on her cheek

And kissed her which made her even more weak

She never wanted him to stop

Her heart rate never dropped

Everything was quite

Everything was kind

She only had him

And he only had her
