Cleo was on her lunch break at work and she sat there staring at the food Carlos made for her

"You gunna eat or just stare at your food"

Dominic said sitting beside her on the bench in front of the store

"I'm not that hungry"

She said cracking a soft smile, Dom kissed her and it made her feel so warm inside

"You haven't been eating have you"

He asked as they pulled back from the kiss

"Of course I have what do you mean"

"That's not true baby I know you"

He said She looked down

"Tell me the truth"

He added

"No... I haven't... I can't"

"This isn't like you what's going on you need to eat"

He asked those last for words triggered Cleo

"Just fuck off Dominic"

She said storming back in the store he followed behind her but she slammed it in his face and locked it

"What the hell did I do?"

He ask she turned the sign to closed

Cleo was too scared to let him see right through her again

After she was done work she left late that night so she locked up

She walked out the door and saw him standing there with roses

"I love you, I do Cleo so much so that I broke things off with Ashely"

"I love you too, but god Dom I don't want to what if you-"

Cleo ran up to him and kissed him so passionately with so much love in her heart

She pulled back slowly and looked him in his eyes and smiled, then all of a sudden she fainted

He panicked he called the police because he couldn't feel a pulse he did CPR until the paramedics arrived

Watching the love of his live almost die made Dominic break down into a million pieces

They took her in and told him to wait in the waiting room

He held on to her jacket and her scent was on the jacket and it made Dominic so scared

He couldn't sleep he's been there for hours and it felt like he had been waiting there for an eternity

The doctor came out and Dominic's heart dropped to the floor

"She almost didn't make it..."

Those five words were the most amazing thing Dominic has ever heard in his whole life

"... but she did quite some damage, her body is malnourished and she has been eating for over a week which caused the body to turn against itself, she is okay now but we're going to send her to a facility for a few weeks to stay monitored but you can see her now"

The doctor said Dominic rushes to her room, he saw her sitting there and the sun rise was hitting her face and it made her look so beautiful

He walked in and started to cry and he hugged her

"Oh baby don't cry"

She said weakly hugging him back he kissed her and held her so tightly as if she would escape if he didn't

He sat down beside her and calmed down a little bit, she held out her hand for him to hold and he noticed how skinny she was finally

She was always wearing bagging clothes he didn't realize she was starving herself

"I'm okay"

She said her voice was weak and raspy a little tear feel down her cheek

"You never said anything thing about this"

"I'm sorry, the world has been so blurry lately and everything was weighing down on me... I'm okay"

"That's a lie why do you keep lying to me I'm here for you not against you"

"I tried not to upset you and you know that all I want to do is protect you"

"But you can't always be there and you most definitely cannot put me before yourself"

"How? I'm sorry you decided to fall in love with someone fucked in the head if that's what you mean"

"Listen"

She said interrupting Dominic then birds started chirping, she stared at the window

"There sending me away for a month"

"I know Cle"

"I'm sorry"

"No I'm going to be there with you to hold you up the whole time I don't care what it takes,, I mean it"

She looked at him then smiled.
