Chapter 13

Emily's POV

" Adam Lowe, You have the right to remain silent, anything you say or do can and will be used against you in the court of law, you have the right to an attorney if you can't afford one, one will be appointed to you."

Those were the words that made my heart sunk. For god sake I was shaking! I mean I still like Adam, I was just mad at him, I wouldn't want him to get arrested! I quickly grabbed Lucas' keys and my phone. I decided to text Eva since she was like my best friend.

Chat:  

Emily: Oh my god! Eva I went to teach Adam a lesson, and the police took him!  

Eva: Yea I know. 

Emily: Wait what? 

Eva: Colton pressed the chargers, I'm the one who encourage him. 

Emily: Why! Adam was just mad, he probably doesn't mean it. 

Eva: Yea but he still caused my brother a concussion and a broken rib. Why are you defending him? 

Emily: Cause I know it wasn't his fault. Remember the tweet that Megan put out about me. 

Eva: Yea. 

Emily: Well, that's why Adam attacked Colton. 

Eva: Sorry Emily, but I cant press back the chargers, he still committed a crime.

And that's when I shut off my phone. I was too mad to even scream at Eva for doing a stupid thing! I just want this day to be over! As I walked out, with my eyes blood shot red, from all the tears that came down my face, I turn the car on and headed to the police station.

Colton's POV

" Colton? Colton! You're awake!" Eva screamed, she was smiling down at me, and I couldn't help but smile back.

" Yea, hey what happen? All I remember is Adam kicking my ass." I said as I rubbed my head.

" You had a concussion, But we're so pressing chargers on Adam." She stated as she crossed her arms, she seemed more angry than I was.

" Wait why? He's still my friend, there was just a misunderstanding."

" I don't care we're pressing chargers, look finally you can beat him at his own game, I've seen how you are in his shadows all the time. and you can take something from him that he really cares about. And that's Emily, even though you don't really care about her." She said. I was shocked of the words that just came out my sister's mouth, She sounded like a brat ,a bitch.

" But I do care about her." I said as Eva's eyes widened.

" No, you don't trust me, you don't want to, and I'm calling the police to put chargers." She said as she dialed the number on her phone. Wait so is my sister actually back stabbing the only friend that ever stood up for her. I don't know what to say, I though she was an angel. I tried stop her from pressing chargers, but it was already done.

" You'll thank me later, brother" She said as she smirk. I rolled my eyes at her, I didn't know who she was anymore. She's like a whole different person. I tried to think about Emily, and how hurt she must be when she finds out her own best friend back stabbed her. I haven't seen Emily since yesterday and I already miss her.

Emily's POV

I can't believe Eva would encourage him to press chargers on Adam! As I finally reach the Police station, I find the Main Desk and ask for Adam Lowe. They let me right in to visit him in his cell. When I saw him sitting on the jail bed, my heart sunk. I felt like bursting out in to tears. This is all Megan's fault! I swear I'm going to end that bitch's life. The jail Cell was rusty, and it was a bit humid inside.

" Emily?" Adam asked as he turned his in head in my direction. He's face looks pale and I can see his eyes brightened when he saw me.

" Hey Adams, I'm sorry, This is all Megan's fault." I replied looking at him straight in the eye. We both just stood there looking at each other. I missed him so much, I missed when we would joke around and watch movies together. I miss every time my lips touch his. I miss his flirty comments, even though they're pervy, They're still funny. He cleared his throat and started to speak.

" So, um the fine for the bail Is five thousand dollars. They said I have to stay here for the night though."

"Don't worry Adam I would pay anything to get you out of here. Plus Aunt Linda would pay you out of here in a jiff." I said trying to sound comforting.

" Emily, I'm so sorry, I should have known that Megan would lie to me." He said as he ran his hand through his hair.

" It's okay " I stopped looking at him in the eye, because even though I was still mad at him. I looked at the ground, it was made out of marble and it was greyish color.

" Look Emily, I'm tired of being in Megan's world. I want to be with you, and if Megan makes your life a living hell, ill do the same to her. Emily, I cant wait any longer, I just want you to be mine." Adam said. He took my hand in between the jail bars and looked at me straight in the eye. My heart started to speed up, until it stopped at his last words. They took my breath away..

So Emily Thorn, Will you be my girlfriend?"
