We decide to ride into town to go to the river. I move into a trot and Kyle reciprocates. Spartain loves the water so I'm grateful that I have a swim suit packed in my small bag that I have tied to my saddle. We arrive at the river a few minutes later and I run behind the changing tree to put on my swimsuit.
I dash back out, leaving my clothes, and sprint down the dock. I cannonball into the river and shout in surprise at its cold temperature. Kyle is next. He lands right next to me and he comes up yelling too.
"Its freezing!" he shouts.
I laugh and earn a scoul. In no time at all, he lifts me up and soon I'm flying through the air, only to splash into the water. We swim for a few hours before we decide to get out. We sit on the bank of the river and dry off in the warm sun. The birds chirp around us and I smile.
The silence doesn't last. "I love you, Marie."
"I love you too." I reply with a smile.
I earn a smile back and he gently presses his lips to my forehead. He pulls away and almost does it again but I lift my head at the las second and press my lips to his. The kiss is sweet and he smile against my mouth. When we pull away, we're breathless.
"Alright, we should get back." he says, trying to catch his breath.
"Agreed." I grab my pants and pull them up my legs before I pull my shirt over my head. I stuff the rest of my clothing into the bag my bathing suit was in and mount Spartan.
We are soon on the way home. We ride at a nice walk and take our time getting to the barn. When we get there, Ty, Clara, and the kids are standing outside.
Oh boy. I thought. Now what.
