I walked into the barn with the boiled rice in hand and dump it into Phoenix's feed bucket. Clearly still is some pain, he walks over and begins eating the warm rice. When his bucket is empty I fill it with water and mix in some apple juice and give it to him. Phoenix looks over my shoulder and I turn to see doctor Rhoades walking toward us.
"Hey Doc." I greet with a smile.
"Hey Marie. This Phoenix?" She asked, admiring the poor horse.
"Yeah. Dispite what he's been through he's pretty comfortable around people." I say.
"Yeah he is. His fear is evident by his body language but he stays surprisingly calm. He is an amazing horse." She says, opening the stall.
"Your right. His teeth are pretty bad. I'll float them and trim his hooves. After that I think all he'll need is a trip to the black smith to get shoes and then he should be good to go." she smiles and walked to get her bag.
"You'll be better in not time, Phoenix. Good boy." I cooed.
