The Dragon's Ring

Chapter Three

*TIME: 9:21 AM*

During the whole car ride to the Museum of Archaeology, everyone was singing to songs on the radio while Mikey was the driver.  Mikey earned his driver's license when he was 20 years old and passed his test on the first try while it took Tony and Robert 5 to 6 tries.

The song that was playing on the radio was 'What Is Love'.

"Baby don't hurt me.  Don't hurt me.  No more" everyone, except Mikey, sang.  Now, Mikey doesn't have a problem of anyone singing to a song but due to be forced to go somewhere to take a 'day-off' has put him in a sour mood.

At that moment, Mikey just lost his temper and cool and did something he thought he would never do in his life.

"THAT'S IT!!" he screamed and he stomped on the gas peddle and the car went from 45 miles per hour to 75 miles per hour and the car started speeding down the road, causing cars to steer out of the way.

"MIKEY!!" they all screamed in a panic, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?"

He didn't care.  He had completely lost it.  The car sometimes sped past a stoplight or stop sign, causing other cars to crash into each other.

"MIKEY!!" they screamed before the car crashed into a telephone pole, causing the air bags to activate.

"Don't ask... what I was thinking..." Mikey said sarcastically as he turned his attention to the building that was on the right: The Museum of Archaeology.

*TIME: 9:27 AM*

As they entered the museum, they all gave Mikey a very angry look.

"What the hell were you thinking?" Vixen demanded.

"I said before: Don't ask me what I was thinking" Mikey said in an annoyed tone.  Before they entered the museum, they kept asking him why he did that and what he was thinking and if he had to be honest with himself, he didn't know why but obviously, he does.  He couldn't deal with the singing which he originally didn't have a problem with.

Just before anyone could ask him that question again, a man wearing a suit acceptable for people who are guides of the museum or such walked up to them.

"Welcome to the Museum of Archaeology" the man said, "What-"

"We want to see the new exhibit!!" Melissa said excitedly.  Everyone looked at her like she just went insane.  Mikey was surprised that she was this excited to see the 'Dragon's Ring'.

The man looked at her for while and then said: "Okay. Follow me"

*TIME: 9:28 AM*

They enter the Medieval Section, an area in the museum specifically for artifacts from the Medieval times.  As the man leads them to the new exhibit, Mikey takes a look at the other artifacts.

There were many different artifacts that existed since and have been discovered by many different archaeologists.  Arranging from old gold coins to old clothing.  Mikey just looked at the artifacts with little to no interest.  The only thing he wants to do is invent his fake tree that can launch anything to space.

"Mikey, come here!!" everyone shouted to him.

"Coming!" Mikey shouted back and ran to the exhibit that everyone stopped at.
