The Dragon's Ring

Chapter Seven

Melissa gulped really hard when Mikey stared at her with his dragon eyes that were filled with anger.  She knew full well that he was very upset with her for what she called him and how he was treated.  If she didn't act quickly, Mikey most likely will do something he will later regret.

"Mikey, put Melissa down right now!!" Tony demanded.

Mikey turned his attention to Tony and gave out a faint growl before letting out a loud roar at Tony, and in the process covered him with saliva that went flying out of his mouth.  Tony let out a disgusted groan and tried shaking the saliva off him.

"FUCKING GROSS!!" Tony shouted in anger.

"HA!!  Looks like you just got 'slimed' on" Robert teased while laughing out loud before Mikey roared at him and saliva ends up getting on him.

"WHAT THE SHIT?!?" Robert angrily shouted.

"HA!!  Who's laughing now, bitch?!" Tony teased back.

Mikey then turned his attention back to Melissa, who was quivering in fear at this point.  She knew if she didn't think of an action soon, it's over.  Then, something popped in her head.  She looked at Mikey dead in the eyes that still had anger in them and felt the urge to cry.  She didn't know if Mikey was the forgiving type of person but it was worth a shot.

"Mikey..." she said softly and as soon as she said that, he roared straight in her face that made her force her eyes shut , which nearly made her go to the bathroom on herself.  She opened her eyes and looked at him.

"Listen, I understand you're upset" Melissa began to say, "Mikey, I'm sorry for what I said to you back there.  Mr. Bodkins manipulated everyone, including me, that you stole the ring, which is not true.  I shouldn't have said those things to you.  I know about the event that happened back when you were in middle school and I know how much it has traumatized and haunted you since then and that you tried to rid yourself of the guilt that has plagued you.  Mikey, what I want to say... is that I... I... I love you.  I love you, Mikey"

Upon hearing her say that, he felt all the anger vanish and felt himself regain control.  He looked at Melissa, who was now crying her eyes out, and felt immense guilt.  He shut his eyes tightly and let go of Melissa, causing her to fall.  Tony, in a split second, ran up and managed to catch her in time.

They all looked at the dragon and could hear faint whimpering and saw that tears were forming in his eyes.  Man, so much has happened in just one day.

"Well, now that we snapped Mikey out of his rage, what do we do now?" Robert asked everyone.  Vixen began to think about it when she remembered that she and Mikey built a secret hideout in the woods.

Believe it or not, that was one of the things that she and Mikey agreed on working on together as a team.

"I know" Vixen said, "Me and Mikey constructed our own little hideout somewhere in the woods.  We can go there to discuss our next course of action.  What do you think, Mikey?"

Mikey stopped whimpering and opened his eyes, which returned to their normal green human eyes, and looked down at Vixen.  He nodded his head to show that he was listening to what she said.

"Okay, the hideout is a little far" Vixen said, "Mikey, can we hitch a ride on your back?"

Mikey looked at Vixen, like she asked him to do something impossible.  He began to think about it for a minute before getting back on all 4s, turned around and put his tail down so they can climb on.

Without hesitation, they climbed on his tail and up his back until they were at a good distance up.

Mikey turned back around and began walking in the direction where the hideout was.
