The Dragon's Ring

Chapter Twelve

The Wizard continued on laughing evilly as Melissa continued squirming in an attempt to be free, but it was no use and besides, they were about 6-stories high in the air.

"Soon, that power will be mine!!" The Wizard said with confidence in a evil way.  Just then, he heard a roar coming from behind him and he turns his head and just wanted to explode with anger.  Mikey was following him and it seemed that he recovered from the punch quickly as well.

"YOU?!?" The Wizard shouted and using his magic grew about the same size as Mikey, put Melissa in his pocket and flew right at him and tackled him to the ground and began punching Mikey repeatedly.  Mikey grabbed one of his oncoming fists and squeezed it as hard as he could and the Wizard gritted his teeth and Mikey delivers a punch to the Wizard's face, knocking him off of him and he gets back on his feet.

"You have some guts trying to stop me" The Wizard said.

"Surrender now, Wizard!!" Mikey growled.

"Bring it" The Wizard said and Mikey tackles him and the 2 begin soaring in the air.

The 2 began delivering blows at one another as they soar above the city of Bethlehem.  The people of the city look up at the sky and see the dragon and a robed thing fighting each other in the air.

As the 2 began flying straight to the ground, people screamed and got out of the way and the 2 beings crashed onto the ground.  Mikey grabs ahold of the Wizard's robe, picks him up in the air with extreme ease and slams the Wizard to the ground.

Mikey backs away as the Wizard got up on his feet and immediately, Mikey delivers a powerful punch to the Wizard's face, sending him flying a good mile and crashes right near the Museum of Archaeology.  Mikey flies there and once the Wizard gets up on his feet, Mikey readies his claws and once back on the ground, charges at him and claws the Wizard in the face, leaving 4 long and deep scratches on his face.

The Wizard looks at Mikey and gives him a hateful look.

"You may win this round, Mikey" The Wizard began to say as he pulled Melissa out of his pocket and threw her at him and he catches her in his hand with Melissa being unharmed, "But when we meet again on Halloween, you won't be so lucky"

The Wizard then disappeared into thin air and without batting an eye to the people around him, Mikey flies away to head back to the hideout, leaving a shocked crowd behind.

*TIME: 12:03 PM*

Vixen, Tony, Robert, Cathy, Chase and Chris began to worry for Mikey and Melissa, assuming the worst had happened.  Thoughts of Mikey getting killed or possibly Melissa ran through their thoughts.

Just then, Mikey came back into the hideout with Melissa in his hand, making everyone sigh in relief.

"Mikey, you did it and you did it quick" Vixen said as Mikey set Melissa back down to ground lever and everyone hugged her.

"Thank goodness you are okay" everyone said.

"Mikey outmatched the Wizard in a fight" Melissa said and everyone stopped hugging her and turned their attention to Mikey.

"That true?" Vixen asked him and he nodded his head, "Alright Mikey, once Halloween hits, show him who is the boss next time"

Mikey just let a unconfident look come across his face that had this hint of sadness.  Mikey didn't think he could defeat the Wizard in a actual fight.  If the Wizard wanted to, he could overpower him and God only knows what will happen when it does.  And besides, Mikey has never been in an actual fight against something like the Wizard before so this was a disadvantage for him.

"I can't do it" Mikey said which caused Vixen to gasp as Mikey sat down on his butt and his tail rose up in the air.  Vixen climbs up his tail and looks at him dead in the eyes.

"What did you say?" Vixen asked him.

"I can't do it" Mikey said and Vixen just looked at him with a disgusted look on her face.  Never in her life has she ever heard him say something like that before.  Is it because he has never fought against anything like the Wizard before?

"What the hell is this?!" Vixen demanded.

"Vixen, I never have been in a fight before, especially against something like this" Mikey said to her.

"You are Mikey Kowalski!!" Vixen said, "One of the best inventors of all time!!  Are you really going to let your current form put you down?"

"No" Mikey said.

"And who always comes up with a plan a majority of the time?" Vixen asked yet again.

"Me" Mikey said and Vixen cut him off before he could say anything.

"Exactly, you can do it, Mikey" Vixen began to say, "You remember back in high school you trained yourself in martial arts?  You can use that to your advantage because with not only strength, but also with intelligence and skill, you can take down anything.  We will do this together, Mikey.  If we don't stop the Wizard, you would be his servant forever and the ENTIRE city will be destroyed so it is up to all of us to take him down ONCE AND FOR ALL!!"

Vixen was indeed right.  The entire city would be destroyed if they don't work as a team but in order to achieve victory, they were going to need a plan and Mikey had one in mind.

"You're right, Vixen" Mikey said, "It is up to us to take that fucker down"

"That's the spirit" Vixen said.

"Plus, I have a plan" Mikey said and began whispering the plan to Vixen who had a big smile on her face.
