The Dragon's Ring

Chapter Ten

*SOME TIME LATER: 3 DAYS BEFORE HALLOWEEN*

*TIME: 8:35 AM*

It has been some time since the incident that resulted with the death of Mr. Bodkins.  Although Vixen, Tony, Robert and Melissa were happy that he was gone, they were still shocked that Mikey killed him.  Mikey being capable of something like that was something no one thought he could do.

Back at the hideout, Vixen watched as Tony, Robert and Melissa were arguing about where Mikey's whereabouts could be.  And let me tell you, it had been driving Vixen nuts and she was starting to lose her cool.

"TONY, YOU DON'T KNOW THAT COULD BE THE CASE!!" Robert shouted at him.

"WELL, WHERE ELSE DO YOU THINK HE COULD BE?!?" Tony shouted back, "WE LOOKED AT EVERY CORNER OF THE WOODS AND THERE WAS NO TRACE OF HIM!!"

"GOD FORBID IF SOMETHING WERE TO HAPPEN TO HIM-" Melissa shouted before Vixen officially lost her cool and jumped onto the desk and hopped onto the table.

"ENOUGH NONSENSE!!!!" Vixen shouted, making everyone stop arguing and turn their attention to her.

"Nice ass" Robert said jokingly which resulted with Vixen giving him a 5-star to the face, which left a print there.

"Now is not the time for that, you perverted buffoon" Vixen said and continued, "Right now, we need to focus on the main matter here.  It has been a few days since the incident and there is no trace of him.  What happened to Mikey after he fled the scene is unknown but we can't give up as he is still out there"

Just then, the door to the hideout opened and the 3 kids from a few nights ago entered the complex and walked up to the table.

"What are you kids doing here?" Tony asked in a demanding tone.

"Well, we came looking for you guys because there is something you need to see" Cathy said as she pulled out a poster for what seemed to be a poster for a circus, "You see, we found this poster up around the city about some new circus attraction of some kind for the newly opened Handy's Circus that is located in the woods about 3 miles away from the city"

"So?" Robert asked as Vixen took the poster from Cathy.

"We believe that this new attraction could possibly be Mikey" Chris said and the 4 adults looked at him, "It's just a suspicion as we don't know if that is the case but we personally believe that"

The 4 adults looked at each other and just gave one another a blank expression.  Honestly, they never have been in a circus before but if Mikey could possibly be the new attraction, it is worth a shot.

"When does the circus open?" the 4 of them asked.

*TIME: 10:00 AM*

They arrived at the circus, which surprisingly wasn't far from the hideout, only like about 20 minutes away.

The circus was pretty big as it stood about 6-stories high and had red-and-white stripes.  They could hear a crowd from inside the tent so they walked up to the tent and were stopped by someone blocking the entrance.

"Hello and welcome to Handy's Circus!!" the man announced, "If you want to enter, it's only about $15 for each person"

Vixen pulled out a few $20 bills and handed them to the man who took the money and counted it and once done, gave them a big smile.

"You may enter!!  Enjoy!!"

*INSIDE THE CIRCUS*

They sat in the top bench and they watched as a man wearing a fancy suit stood on some sort of stool with a microphone in his hand.

"HELLO EVERYONE!!" the man said, "WELCOME TO MY CIRCUS!!  TODAY, WE HAVE SOMETHING NEW TO SHOW YOU FOLKS AT THE END, BUT FIRST, LET'S START OFF WITH THE FIRST SHOW!!"

The man, who they bet is Handy, gets off the stool and the show began.

*TIME: 11 AM*

They had to admit, the circus was going great so far and there was a decent amount of laughs as well.  One of the acts, however, didn't go so well and while it was happening, everyone laughed at the end.

One of the shows was surrounding a lion tamer.  In the middle of the show, the lion attacked the tamer and in the process, bit off the man's private off and the man screamed like a girl.  The man was running with his arms flailing and was screaming: "MY WEINER!!  THE LION ATE MY DICK!!"

Everyone was laughing so hard that tears were going down their eyes.

Anyways, it was now at the end of the show and Handy stood on the stool and began to speak.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMAN!!" Handy said, "IT IS TIME FOR THE BIG FINALE!!  GET READY FOR THE NEW PERFORMANCE OF A CENTURY!!"

As he said that, there was a thump that shook the ground and everyone began getting excited while Tony, Robert, Melissa, Vixen, Chase, Chris and Cathy watched closely as the gap widened and the thumping became louder.

"READY OR NOT, HERE IT COMES!!" Handy said, "BEHOLD, THE LEGENDARY CREATURE WITH THE ABILITY TO BREATH FIRE AND WITH THE BEAUTIFUL SET OF SCALES!!  I GIVE YOU: THE DRAGON!!"

Once this so-called 'dragon' popped into view, Tony, Robert, Melissa, Vixen, Chris, Chase and Cathy felt their eyes widen when they recognized the dragon.

"MIKEY?!?"
