The Dragon's Ring

Chapter Eleven

Their suspicions were correct: Mikey was indeed here but what makes this compelling is that there is no signs of anger or any kind of negative emotions on his face or in his eyes.  There was... excitement?  How did Mikey end up in the circus?

"DON'T BE FOOLED, FOLKS!!  THIS DRAGON IS MIGHTY INTELLIGENT!!" Handy said, "HE CAN DANCE, JUGGLE AND DO TRICKS!!"

Handy steps down from the stool and puts a music radio on the stool and pushes the play button and a song began to play.  Tony and Robert recognized the song.  It was a Spanish song called 'Macarena', one of Mikey's favorite songs.

As the song began playing, Mikey began dancing.  At first, Tony and Robert were getting ready for the huge embarrassment as Mikey was not a good dancer, but they became surprised when he was doing the dance perfectly.

The crowd began cheering and clapping their hands as Mikey continued dancing.  Tony and Robert looked at each other for a moment before smiling at one another and were joining the crowd with the cheering and clapping.  Even Vixen, Melissa and the 3 kids joined in.

However, while everyone was cheering and clapping, someone wearing a rib-knit three-hole balaclava was crouching down to avoid being seen and grabbed an unsuspecting woman's purse.  The thief laughed to itself and began to sneak away.

After the song ended, Mikey stopped dancing and everyone clapped and cheered louder.  From the looks of it, Mikey showed no signs of exhaustion and barely worked up a sweat.

Then...

"AHHH!!!" screamed a woman, "MY PURSE IS MISSING!!"

This caused everyone to go into a panic and Mikey began turning his head in different directions to see if he could find anything suspicious.  His eyes caught sight of a person running out of the circus with, no mistake, a purse in their hand.

Mikey let out a noticeable growl which caught everyone's attention.

"What's wrong?" Handy asked and Mikey bolted out of the tent and after the thief.

"MIKEY!!!" Tony, Robert, Melissa, Vixen, Chris, Chase and Cathy shouted at the same time and went to go after him.

The thief ran out of the circus and was laughing to itself.

"So long, suckers!!" the thief said before something jumped in his view, got ahold of the back of his shirt and was lifting him up with ease.

The thief struggled but stopped when he came eye-to-eye with the thing that caught him: The dragon.

Everyone came out of the tent and saw that Mikey had the thief hanging by his claws.  Someone came out of the crowd, a woman, and pointed to the purse in the thief's hand.

"THAT'S MY PURSE!!" the woman shouted.  Mikey then took the purse from the thief, with it hanging by his claw and lowered his hand to the ground and the woman reaches for her purse and gets it off Mikey's claw.

"Thank you" the woman said.

Mikey then threw the thief to the ground and the sound of a few bones breaking could be heard.

"OW, SON OF A BITCH!!" the thief shouted and everyone just laughed at the thief in a insulting way.

*TIME: 11:23 AM*

 After the incident, the circus was forced to close for the rest of the day as the circus opens from 9:45 AM to 12 PM.  The gang arrived back at the hideout and everyone was really happy to see Mikey.  Earlier, it took a lot of persuasion to convince Handy to let Mikey go.  Surprisingly, Handy was not upset at all and totally understood as the gang told him what was happening.

"Welcome back, Mikey" Vixen said to him and Mikey looked at her.

"Yeah, it's good to be back" Mikey said.

"How did you wind up in a circus?" she asked him.

"I will tell you that in another time" Mikey said.

"Alright, now that we found Mikey, all we have to do now is deal with the Wizard" Tony said.

"But where could that bastard be hiding?" Robert said and everyone thought for a moment.

"I don't know but we can check out what is going on in Bethlehem" Vixen said and just then, a loud BOOM echoed through the room and everyone turned their attention to the front entrance.  Standing there in the middle of the huge hole that was now there was the Wizard.

"YOU!!" everyone shouted out and just then, the Wizard flew right at Mikey and landed a strong punch to his face, which made him hit his head on the wall and collapse to the ground out cold.

"YOU SON OF A BITCH!!" Tony shouted out and was running at the Wizard, "NOBODY HITS MY BROTHER AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!!"

The Wizard then spun around and knocked Tony across the room with his hand, sending him flying and hitting the ground, sliding on it for a bit.

"Do you think it is going to be this easy?" The Wizard said evilly, "Oh no, I think I will make this more difficult for you"

Then, the Wizard flew towards Melissa and she screams.  The Wizard picks her up and puts her on his left shoulder and Melissa began squirming.

"LET ME GO, YOU HIDEOUS FREAK!!" Melissa demanded.

"You see, I need the power from a pure heart to complete a ritual that will give me limitless power and that person to help me accomplish that is Melissa Baker herself" The Wizard said, "Mikey Kowalski is a pure heart himself as he has the balance of both good and evil itself but Melissa is the more perfect candidate to achieve immeasurable power.  Once the full moon hits on Halloween night, not only will I have that power, but Mikey will be mine.  Goodbye, losers!!"

As the Wizard laughed evilly and flew out of the hideout, Mikey regained consciousness and noticed that Melissa was missing and put 2-and-2 together in a split-second: The Wizard has gotten Melissa!!!

Mikey let out an angry growl, flapped his wings and flew out of the hideout and after the Wizard and Melissa.  Tony gets back up on his feet and watches Mikey take off.

"Be careful, Mikey"
