The Dragon's Ring

Chapter Five

*TIME: 10:21 AM*

It was at this moment, a group of 3 teenagers were walking in the woods to do whatever teenagers do but it was for one reason.  Everyone has been on the hunt for Mikey and since he ran into the woods and hasn't come back out, they all began searching for him.

"Man, I never thought Mikey could be capable of theft" said the kid with the green mohawk named Chris.  All the other kids turned their attention and looked at him.

"Chris, my dude, you can't possibly be serious" said a kid with orange-dyed hair named Chase, "Mr. Bodkins is just a bunch of bullshit.  It's pretty obvious that he just accused Mikey and what makes it more shitty is that he didn't have any evidence that Mikey did it.  You know how much of an asshole he can be, yo"

"Chase is right, Chris" said a teenage girl with blonde hair named Cathy, "Mr. Bodkins has always been trying to destroy Mikey's reputation ever since he became famous and well-known throughout the city.  Although I don't approve the fact that he kicked a police officer in the nuts but I do believe him to be innocent"

"Alrighty then" Chris said and they continued walking.

"The thing I don't get is what anyone would want to use the ring for anyway" Chase said, "Do you think someone could have done it for a much evil purpose?"

"As obscured as it sounds, it is a good question" Cathy said.

Just then, they bumped into something hard and scaly and they backed away from whatever it was they bumped into.  Just before any one of them could say anything, they looked at the object more closely and they all held in the urge to scream and gasp.

Literally lying down on the ground was a green and blue scaled dragon that looked about as big as a 3-story building.  They started to go around to the right side of its body and what they saw next is what made Cathy nearly faint.  On the dragon's middle finger was the Dragon's Ring.

"Dude, you think that dragon could be-" Chris began to say before getting cut-off by Chase.

"Mikey Kowalski" Chase finished off.

"Guys, if you think about it, when the police tried to take him away, he never had the ring on nor did he ever have it as his family said that after he immediately went to the back door of the house, they went to his room and never found it" Cathy pointed out as Chris and Chase turned to look at her, "Something fishy is going on and I don't like it and it looks like he has been unconscious for quite some time"

Chris and Chase looked at each other and realized that Cathy was right.  But there was one problem though: What happened to Mikey, how did the ring get on his finger and what caused him to fall unconscious?

"Dude, let's wake him up" Chase said as he grabbed a stick and was ready to poke the unconscious dragon with it, only to be stopped by Cathy as she jumped in front of him.

"NO!!" Cathy shouted, "Are you out of your mind?!?  Did you forget that dragons can breath fire?!?  If you wake Mikey up by poking him with a stick, he could possibly end up attacking you or burn you alive with his fire breath!!"

It was at that moment, the dragon began to move and they could hear growling noises.  They looked up and could see that the dragon's head was fully up and its eyes fully open wide and is looking at them.

"Oh shit" they all muttered as they all stood still, waiting for what he would do next.

The dragon then gets back up, gets in all 4s and lowers its head to look at them.  The kids continued to look back at the dragon, still waiting to see if it will do anything.  Then, the dragon tilts its head, like it was confused.
