"What a pathetic excuse for a shinobi you are."
His words were like knives, tearing into her flesh bit by bit. Ripping into her skin until it bled. She shrunk under his angered eyes.
Her small hands gripped the ground, the soft, moist dirt gently grazing her calloused palm. She gritted her teeth, her vision blurred from tears.
She hated this. She hated how she felt so, so... weak, so vulnerable. She hated how she couldn't do anything.
She hated that he was right.
"I... I'm sorry..." She rasped out, shakily looking at his feet. Her throat was dry, her lungs squeezed, desperately begging for air.
"Sorry?" He questioned mockingly, veins protruding on his hand from the sheer force. She could only quiver.
"ALL YOU CAN SAY IS SORRY?!" He growled out and the pinkette became terrified. Tears cascaded down her pale cheeks as she watched him silently.
He collapsed on the ground, defeated. She saw it, the tears. They streamed from his honey eyes. Honey eyes that she adored once. He sobbed. His body shaking as he did.
"You... you killed them.." His voice was mere whisper, but she heard it. Her stomach pooled with dread. An all too familiar feeling crept up her spine. She stilled.
No...
Oh yes.
"Kai-" He raised up sharply, eyes wide and filled with pain.
"YOU KILLED THEM!" He howled.
Her temples throbbed, her vision became hazy. She struggled to stay awake. She couldn't let it happen. No, not this time.
"IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!"
Her senses were beginning to lose their edge. Her vision was going blank. She let out a shaky breath of air. Her body couldn't take this much pressure, it was too much. She was losing this fight.
Just let go.
Go To Hell!
"MONSTER!"
Pink locks shielded her eyes. They slowly shifted into a deep crimson. Tears flowed, she couldn't stop it. She wanted to warn him. A shout, a hit, anything. She could only pray.
"I HATE YOU!"
You tried too hard, now watch him die.
A twisted smile played her lips.
