In the Dark

The midday sun was harsh, glaring at any who dared to look its way. He peered angrily down at the oblivious people. They walked, chatted and hurried to different places. Konoha beamed with energy. Team Seven sat at Ichirakus' today, discussing their next step towards their goals.
Sasuke sat on the far end of the table, tuning out the loud blonde and his pink haired companion's argument. The ravenette didn't fail to notice how Teuchi leaned over the counter and spoke lowly to Kakashi.
"I assume you heard about the murder?" He murmured whiles handing their sensei a bowl of miso ramen.
"Mhm. A civilian family, killed by burglars, how unfortunate."
Ayama joined in sooner. "Their son's name was Kai. He was a good kid, used come by and visit."
"It's a shame that he passed away so early in his lifetime." Kakashi stated.
Sasuke thought. A family killed? By just burglars? It makes sense, but why?
Something isn't right.
"It's rude to eavesdrop, Sasuke." Kakashi spoke lazily.
Darn it.
After they finished, the group had left for the training grounds as per their sensei's order.
Kakashi continued to read his porn. Flipping the pages ever so often. To the average civilian he was merely engrossed in his book. Naruto and Sakura were idling, bickering back and forth. Sasuke walked behind, not wanting to participate in whatever lousy discussion the blonde brat would have.
He looked at them.
They shouldn't be shinobi, he thought. They were simple minded, naive children who knew nothing about the world. They never saw the dark side, they never witnessed the death, the blood.
They were weak.
"You are nothing, not even the very dirt we stand on."
Everyone in his class he thought were odd. Shikamaru may be lazy, but his genius tactics and high intellect proved him to be a challenge. Ino was a talkative fangirl, but she knew the inner workings of the human mind. She was strong. Hinata was shy, but with her kekkei genkai a worthy foe. Naruto did see the dark side of things, due to his past and his strong will and determination is what helps him get through a day.
But out of everyone, the weakest would have to be Sakura. A civilian born who had not experience any loss nor has an actual real purpose for being a ninja. She focuses more on makeup and diets rather than training. She can't fight or defend herself; not to mention she's annoying. Her peculiar hair stands out too.
She was just a dead weight to the team.
Useless
Pathetic
Weak
Ugly
