Hinata nervously twiddled her thumbs. Her eyes darted everywhere whiles she numbly walked through the crowd. "Excuse me miss." A soft voice whispered behind her but she ignored it. She hoped and prayed that this was just a dream. "Can you please help me?" She walked even faster, eventually beginning to run. There was no way she could help. She turned to face a child who had a bright glow to him. He was transparent and a large hole went straight through his head. His clothes were dirtied and body scarred. "Help me..." he mumbled and reached out his bruised and battered arm towards her.
She looked away, tears brimming her eyes. He was definitely dead. However being too caught up in her escape, her head hit something extremely hard and she fell down with a thud. She winced slightly and rubbed the sore spot on her head. She looked up to see so many of them floating around the place. They weren't even alive, they turned to face her, mouthing things she rather not hear. She saw a very much alive lady walking absentmindedly down the street. Quickly she yelled out, "Help ME!" completely out of character for her. The woman turned and looked at her weirdly and then proceeded to walk away. Hinata eyes widened and mouth left agape. "She can't see us dear, only you." A voice called from behind.
Hinata couldn't help it, she screamed, got up and ran as fast as her feet could carry her. Not wanting to look back she ran away, terrified.

Shikamaru continued to practice with his shadow style, but for some reason every time he tried to possess something, it seemed to crawl up his body instead. How was this possible? He had no idea. He searched everywhere for answers but to no avail. But that seems to be a thing know isn't it?
He just can't seem to control it, and at times he could swear he hears these whispers telling him to "Let me take over." It would leave a chilling feeling down his spine, and if he was himself, would have just shrugged it off. But that wasn't the case. He tried avoiding using the jutsu and it seems to be working fine for now.
He sighed, and laid down on the soft grass of the Nara forest. It's been a long time since he has ever gotten some peace; he learned to enjoy these little moments that appear rarely. Slowly his eyes shut.
He awoke with a startle. Everywhere was pitch black. He looked around, "Where am I?"
"Your head."

The sky was dark minus the few lingering stars that stared down the forest. The moon was nowhere to be seen. Hinata wiped the blanket of sweat from her forehead from the running. Strangely, nothing was out, not a deer, bird. Nothing.
She allowed herself to relax a little bit. Kami probably wanted to punish her didn't he? Leaving her to these terrible things. Suddenly, a slight cracking noise was heard. Hinata jumped in alarm, she tried sensing for chakra but found something else. It didn't feel like chakra at all. It was more ominous and reeked of death. She turned to see two red eyes staring at her and a deep snarl escaped the creatures throat. She yelped and turned to run away, but was too late.
Two deep slashes made on her legs. She fell down. It hurt like hell, the gash was deep enough to see the bone. Pieces of her flesh hung loosely and blood gushed out of the wound like rain. Grimacing slightly, she crawled away slowly in a desperate attempt to be free. Gritting her teeth, she bit back a cry of pain as she stood on shaky legs, pushing chakra to her mangled feet and ran like the devil was hot on her heels. She could make it! Right? She was crying now. Naruto, help me...
Her mind and body in a frail state, the girl hurriedly limped towards the protection of the trees. The moon seemed to mock her, casting it's bright glow through the forest, giving her nowhere to hide. Helpless, she scrambled behind a tree, too weak to move. The blood loss was finally taking a toll, Hinata could feel the tips of her fingers growing cold. She could hear it now, its sharp claws dragging on the ground, the rancid smell with a grin made of murder.
Her vision became hazy. Hinata's figure slumped against the tree. And her mind wandered, beyond the pain and the terror.
The last thing she saw was a boy, with two whiskers on each cheek, hair as yellow as the sun and bright, blue eyes, before a sharp pain in her chest.
The lavender haired body laid limp on the floor. Blood seeping from her mouth, her eyes dead and dull, mouth agape whiles her hand was draped across the grass. Splatters of blood decorated the ground like a haunting art piece.
