I woke up tangled in blankets. The kids in the apartment next to mine were banging on the walls. I was lucky that it woke me up, because I never set an alarm today. I unlocked my phone and checked my messages.
Andrew:
Hey, we'll need to lave a bit earlier today. Garett needs a ride
My heart skipped a beat when I saw his name on my lock screen. I was excited to spend the day with him and the others before I was going to have to work again. I love working, but my friends make me happier.
I finished getting dressed with just a couple of minutes to spare.knock knock
"Morning. Come in. I have just a couple of things to put in my bag and I'll be ready to go." He nodded and sat on the couch.
"You look really good today," he said loudly. My face began to heat up at the compliment and I internally screamed.
"Thank you, love!" I yelled from my room. I shoved my Hogwarts house robe into my backpack and walked back into the living room. "Let's get going"We walked to his car making small talk.
"Are you nervous for today?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"It's going to be your first time in a video. I know how nervous you are about this kind of stuff," he explained. He kept his eyes on the road as he spoke. It's one of the things about him that gives me this strong sense of safety.
"Oh gosh. Why did you have to remind me? I am incredibly anxious about it. I'm going to out there for everyone to judge now. I really really don't want anyone to hate me," my voice began to shake and I started to tear up. The fear was finally sinking in and I only had so much time to cope with it. I wasn't ready.
"Deep breaths, Y/N. They aren't going to hate you. You are so loveable. I will personally fight anybody to leaves even a remotely mean comment about you." He grabbed my hand as he said this. He traced small circles on the back of my hand as we continued on our way to pick up Garett. The only time he let go was when we arrived. I felt the anxiety start to rise again from the loss of contact.
"Will you guys please tell me where we're going today?" Garett whines as he gets in the car.
"Nope, but I can tell you who will be in the video," Andrew answers as we back out of the driveway.
"Oh! Who?!" Garett perked up in the backseat.
"This little cutie right here." He patted my leg a couple of times to show it was me he was talking about. I blushed when he didn't move his hand.
"Oh my gosh! This is so exciting! Y/N!" The grown man in the backseat was freaking out. I smile at his childishness.
"Yeah. I'm really nervous, but I'll get through it." I sighed, exhausted from the mental frustration I had already gone through today. We pulled into Shane's driveway and I unbuckled my seatbelt. I sat still, trying not to panic. I squeezed my eyes shut to prevent tears from falling.
"Hey, It's going to be okay." I got out of the car to give Andrew a hug. He hugged back instantly, resting his chin on the top of my head. "It's going to be okay, Y/N. They're going to love you. I'll be with you all day. If you need a break from the camera just let me know. Shane will understand."
"Thank you, Andrew." I grabbed his hand in my own and pulled him towards the house. I open the door and let go of Andrew's hand. The only person who knew about my feelings for Andrew was Garett and I wanted to keep it that way. I don't wan Shane trying to set us up in a video.
"Y/N, come on! I want you to start the video with me! Let's start up cameraman." Shane gestured for me to stand next to him as Andrew took his camera out and began recording.
Shane started speaking, "Hey guys! We have a very special video today. I also have a very special person here with us. This is our friend, Y/N! You've seen her in some of our Instagram posts. She's been part of our squad, but I haven't been able to convince her to be part of a video until today."
"Speaking of video...The video today is a surprise for Garett so let's go outside and explain what's going on. Then we will embark on our road trip," I spoke excitedly.
"You're doing great," Andrew whispered in my ear as we mad our way outside.
"So today we will be going to-"
"Hogwarts!" Shane interrupted me.
"Do you want me to go home? Clearly I'm not needed here," I joke. Shane apologized and told me to continue. "Before I was so rudely interrupted, I was explaining that we are in fact going to Harry Potter World. Garett doesn't know so it's going to be a surprise! Let's get going!'We started to get into Ryland's car after a few minutes of getting everything we needed in the back. Garett, Morgan, and Andrew climbed into the backseats and Shane looked at me.
"Shit. I didn't think about that. Uh. Crap," Shane furrowed his eyebrows in confusion as he tried to think of a solution. There was not room for me in the car.
"She could just sit on Andrew's lap!" Garett called from the middle seat.
"We just might have to do that. It's too late to try to call an Uber. Are you okay with that?" I look over to Andrew and we both nod. It's not like we haven't had to do this before.
I climb onto Andrew's lap and close the door. I adjust to where my back is facing the window and get comfortable. Andrew sets his hand on my thigh and Ryland backs the car out of the driveway. The car ride to Universal was long and hectic. We had to make too many stops due to Morgan and Garett needing to use the restroom every ten minutes. Garett had done his fair share of "Are we there yet"s. Shane would refer to him as a kid and threaten to take belongings away if he wouldn't shut up. It was loud and I was getting carsick.
"Hey, are you okay? You look pale." Andrew looked at me worriedly.
"I get carsick easily and this is a little too much to deal w-" I leaned over while clutching my stomach.
"Woah. Do you want to lean on me? You can try to rest until we get there." I nod my head and snuggle into his chest. I closed my eyes and take a deep breath. I smiled when Andrew began laughing at something Shane said.EDITED
