Regina sat up in bed. It's been another week. Emma and Regina haven't spoken since that day. Today was a hard day for Regina. Exactly 10 years ago today Regina's parents died in the horrific car accidents.

Regina and Emma were upstairs in Regina's room. They were talking and messing about like usual. There was then a knock at the front door.

"That must be mum and dad. Should I apologise? Was I out of order" Regina asked.

"I'd apologise" Emma replied.

Regina stood up and left the room. The knocking came again. She made her way down the stairs and to the door opposite the stairs. She opened it and was about to speak. When she saw who was there she decides not to.

"Regina Mills?" A police detective questioned.

"Yeah... why" she replied worried she's in trouble. "Did I do something"

"No miss. It's your parents" the other officer replied. Regina looked at them scared. She didn't want to know what he would say yet she was more desperate than ever. "There was an accident. Your parents were in the back of the car when a drunk drive crashed into it. They didn't make it. I'm really sorry" the guy explained softly.

Regina just looked in pure shock. After a few seconds it truly hit her. She felt her heart rip in half and fall the pit of the stomach. As her first tear dropped so did her legs. She crashed down on her knees and quickly covered her face. To many tears to possibly count came rushing out of her eyes. She couldn't move if she tried. The officer and detective dropped down to see if she was ok.

"I'm so sorry for your loss" the detective says holding her shoulder.

Emma came to the top of the stairs and saw. She looked curiously and made her way down the rest.

"What's going on" she asked.

"A car accident involving her parents miss..." the officer replied.

"Swan. Emma swan. Ow my god Regina"

Emma rushed to her best friends side. She instantly figures out what had happened. Regina quickly hugged her and kept her face hidden in Emma's chest.

"Is there family she can call"

"Only family left is her nan in Texas. Regina has the number in her phone" Emma replied now tearing up herself.

"We will give her time to calm down a little and let her settle down before we start sorting things out"

Emma held onto Regina for dear life. She cried softly as well. Not only were they Regina's parents but they looked after Emma and treated her so nice. Regina's heart was broken. She felt lost. If Emma wasn't there she would have ran. All that was going through Regina's mind was how she didn't think living was worth it anymore. The 15 year old just cried her pain away.

After a few minutes Regina managed to stand up. She was still crying and broken. She sat down in the lounge cuddled up to Emma. The detective and officer was sat in front of her. She was shaking as tears built up inside her while other left to travel down her cheek.

"Regina we need to contact your nan in Texas" the detective says softly.

The young girl hands her phone over to Emma who unlocked it with a fingerprint. She got the number up and hands the phone to the officer. Regina hid her face in Emma's chest. The blonde teen place her arm around Regina to keep her close.

"It's ok Regina. I'm here for you" Emma reassured.

"No it's not. There gone. Nan can't move here. Im not moving there cause Texas is shit. I can't deal with this" Regina says stressing out and crying more.

She stood up and walked out of the room. They watched but knew if they moved it would be pointless. Regina went to the kitchen and looked at it. She saw her mother and father in there again. Working together to make dinner.

"Mum? Dad" she whispered softly.

"Regina dear. The police officers need you to be brave and talk to them. Don't be sad" Regina's mum says softly to her daughter over her shoulder.

"You'll be ok without us. Just have courage and kindness. Good bye my little princess. Your now the queen of this house" her dad says with a smile to his daughter.

Regina was shaking at the sight of her parents. They got back to cooking and faded away. Regina looked down and took a few deep breaths. Emma stepped in front of Regina and hugged her. She kissed her head softly. Regina just held her best friend close to her and didn't want to pull away.

"I saw them" she whispered.

Regina was walking down the street. She had a bunch of flowers in her hand and stared at the floor. Regina arrived at the cemetery and walked through. She looked at the grave and tears up at little. They shared a grave and headstone since they died together. The stone was in the shape off a heart with her name one side and his name the other side.

"Well it's been 10 years" Regina sighed looking at the stone.

She placed the flowers on the soil and went down on her knee. She felt her body shake a little as the tears tried to stay behind her watery eyes.

"Gina" she heard behind her.

Regina looked round and saw Emma stood with a bunch of flowers. Regina stood up and looked at Emma softly. The blonde walked over and bent down next to the brunette. She placed the flowers down before standing back up. Without saying she put her arms around Regina and hugged her tight. The brunette kept hold of her and didn't want to let go.

"Thanks for being here" Regina softly says holding her.

"I'm sorry"

"I'm sorry too"

Regina pulled away and looked at the grave. Emma kept her arm around her and looked at the same stone.

"10 fucking years. That's ridiculous" Emma sighed.

"I know. I wonder where I'd be if I had them in my life still"
