You're beautiful

Regina and Emma were out shopping. There walking home now and talking.

"I brought your Christmas present today when you weren't looking" Regina says smiling.

"No way. How? When? What is it" Emma quickly asked as she looked confused.

"I'm sneaky. You'll love it" Regina laughed as she smiled.

Emma put her arm around Regina and started laughing along. They helped each other close with a smile as they walked down the street. They got to Regina's house which meant the brunette needed to open the door. She did and the girl stepped into the warmth.

"Just put your shoes down there. DANIEL IM HOME" she calls out for his attention.

"In the lounge" he replied quickly.

Regina walked towards the door with Emma behind. She opened it to see him on one knee in the middle of the room. A black box was in his hand closed. Both Regina and Emma looked shocked. Emma moves so she was next to Regina and watched as her best friend appeared surprised.

"Will you marry me Regina" he asked opening the small box revealing a very expensive wedding ring.

Regina didn't know what to do. She looked at Emma who still had the same look on her face. She then turned back to Daniel and thought about her answer. She has been with him for years but she didn't know if she was in love. She didn't know what love felt like. Was it this? Was it how she felt for Emma? Regina decided that love must be how she feels for him.

"Yes" she replied with a smile now starting to form.

"You will" Daniel asked standing up.

"Yes of course" Regina says pulling him into a tight hug.

She could see Emma at the corner of her eye smiling. She smiled and held Daniel close.

"I love you regina" he says holding her close.

"Love you too"

They pulled away and Daniel slipped the ring over her finger. Regina looked at it with a smile and kissed him softly. She looked at Emma and smiled at her. The blonde smiled back and went over. Regina pulled away and hugged her best friend.

"I'm happy for you" Emma says holding her close.

"Thank you em" she replied with a smile.

Later that day Regina and Emma were sat in the lounge talking. Daniel has to go back to work. Regina still had those small doubts about the wedding.

"I'm not sure. I mean I love him but I'm not sure this is what love feels like. I don't know. What do you think" Regina asked before sipping her wine.

"He's a bit of a jerk but seems like he loves you and your body" Emma shrugged before drinking.

"I guess... he wants a beach wedding. How can I get married on a beach? I'd have to wear a short wedding dress. There gross compared to the long dresses" Regina sighed.

"You sound like a woman who doesn't want to get married"

"I do. I just don't know how I'm gonna do it. I just... I don't know"

"I promise whether your in a short or a long dress you'll be the most beautiful bride ever" Emma says holding her friends hand softly.

"Stop calling me that. You know I'm not beautiful" Regina says looking down.

Emma sipped her wine and lifted Regina's head up. Emma smiled which made Regina giggled slight and smile.

"You are. I promise"

"What about Daniel? He's so clingy"

"Regina look at me. Do you love him? If you don't then say so" Emma says looking into her eyes.

Regina felt that pull. That connection she has always felt between them. It's stronger than ever. Without a word spoken or a thought given Regina grabbed Emma's top and pulled her forward. There lips crashed for the first time in 6 years. This time Emma wasn't taking any chances on missing out. She instantly started kissing Regina back. They knew this was wrong but nothing could break this except the air they were craving for after they'd kissed for nearly a minute.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean" Regina starts before Emma pecked her lips quickly.

"You don't realise how long I've waited to do that" Emma says locking eyes.

"What do I do now? Do I get married or not" Regina asked.

"Don't make any drastic decisions until you know" Emma suggests.

The brunette model nodded still shocked she just kissed her best friend. They both knew since they were young they'd be more than just best friends. Regina for the first time in her life felt a little bit like she was actually beautiful. She smiled at the girl opposite and placed her right hand upon Emma's cheek. They just looked at each other. Not know whether to kiss again or to act like it never happened.

"What about us? You have Lucy and I have Daniel" Regina asked.

"I actually haven't spoke to Lucy since our second date. For now it can be our best friend secret" Emma smiled.

Regina leaned in and softly planted a kiss upon Emma's lips. She then cuddled into her and sipped some wine from her glass. They just lay there thinking about what happened today. Regina got engaged and kissed her best friend/ biggest crush. Emma found out Regina does actually like her back. This was a day neither would or would want to forget. Today was memorable for them and nothing could take that away.
