Emma returned home 9 o'clock that night. She was meant to be home at 6 but was working so much. She knew she was in trouble. She walked down the hall and to the lounge. No Regina. To the kitchen. No Regina. Emma went upstairs and to her room. She saw her girlfriend sat in her pyjamas reading a book on her bed.

"I take it me rocking your world is off the table" Emma asked hoping to break the ice a little. Regina glanced up at her before looking back at her book. Barely acknowledging she's there. "Really? Come on Gina. Don't give me that look"

"Em I'm tried. Just come to bed" Regina quickly replied not taking her eyes off the book she had stopped reading.

"Please don't be mad at me. I was singing and we lost track of time" Emma tried explaining while walking to the bed.

"It's fine. I'm use to it now. Your always working" Regina shrugged as she closed her book and took her glasses off. She placed them both on the table beside her and led down in the bed more. "Goodnight swan"

"Baby come on. I'm so sorry" Emma begged as she led down on the bed and pulled her girlfriends body to hers. She spooned her and kept her close. Placing a single kiss on her neck. "I didn't mean to work late"

"It's not just that. You promised you'd be home and you weren't. Your never home anymore. Not to mention when that bitch was saying that stuff about me I would have hoped you'd stand up for me rather than just staring with you big green eyes" Regina finally complained not moving from her comfortable position.

"I couldn't or she'd fire me. She's my boss. She has the power to. You looked like you had it under control. You know I need her more than she needs me. Since I booked all this time to work I have to do it. It's for another few months" Emma softly said feeling guilty for working so late.

"I can't do this for a few more months. This doesn't feel like my home enough as it is. Your not even around for me to make it feel homie. I saw you more before we started dating than I do now"  Regina sighed as she tried to hide her face with her hair.

"Gina your hair is too short to hide your face" Emma said with a slight giggle at her own comment. Regina joined in even though she tried not to. "Come on baby. I love you. Look at me" Emma whispered into her ear while holding her girlfriend close.

Regina rolled around to face Emma. The blonde smiled but she didn't get one in return. Regina just looked at her. She placed her hand on her cheek and brushed her thumb across it. She then thought about Roxy. She thought about how gorgeous she was and in fact how jealous she made Regina feel. She hated being jealous so this girl making her feel it annoyed her.

"Is anything more than work going in between you and Roxy? Don't lie to me" Regina asked softly as her insecurities kicked in.

"No. I promise th"

"Don't promise more than you can keep" Regina warned quickly cutting in.

"I promise I'm not doing anything with her. I know your jealous and you have these insecurities but why do you think I'm cheating" Emma asked softly knowing she's not mad because her girlfriend was upset.

"Because she is literally the hotter and taller version of me. I hate her guts but I still find her attractive" Regina sighed as she looked down thinking she was in the wrong.

"She's hot yeah but guess what? She's not the hotter version of you because your the hotter version of everyone. Your the hotter version of you doesn't exist. Don't let your insecurities take over" Emma reassured as she held her girlfriends body close to hers.

"Really? You don't think she's prettier than me or hotter than me" Regina asked while finally looking up into the green eyes she loved.

"Of course I do. I love you and you know that. We're best friends and girlfriends. That's double love" Emma replied making them both chuckle.

"Your so weird. There's food downstairs for you if your hungry. I ordered Chinese" Regina said while resting her head down and closing her eyes to sleep.

"Wait are you seriously sleeping? Come on it's 9 o'clock" Emma laughed while rolling them both over so she was on top.

"Get off. I'm tired and still a little mad at you" Regina said with a laugh as she pushed Emma off her lap. The blonde grabbed Regina's hips as she rolled and pulled her onto hers. "I said off" Regina laughed not moving from her position.

"Go on then. Get off" Emma said with a smirk.

"Your an ass" Regina replied before leaning down and kissing her girlfriend.
