A few weeks passed. Emma moved back to New York to continue her career. She said goodbye to Regina and they became civil again. They promised to stay in touch but neither had messaged at all. Regina was sat in a diner eating her lunch. Graham walked in and sat down opposite her.

"Do you mind" he asked with a slight smile.

"No of course not. Nice to have some company" Regina replied as she looked up smiling softly at him.

"How you doing with everything? After Daniel and Emma" graham asked gently in case Regina was hurt by it.

"Alright I guess. Have you spoken to Emma? I know I should of but I haven't messaged her yet" Regina questioned knowing she doesn't have the courage to do it.

"Yes she's alright. She's back in her house and has a bunch of concerts there already. Me and Doris are going out to see her next week because she's doing this big speech about girl power at a massive concert happening in New York. All these huge female singers are there and she's the main speak" he replied proud of his daughter.

"That's incredible. Well tell her I said hi and I'm proud of who she is" Regina said with a smile as she lifted her water to her mouth.

"Tell her yourself. She'd love to see you. Come with us" graham offered really hoping for a yes.

"I-I don't know about that. This was the most craziest time of my life and you know what I'm like" Regina replied nervously while looking down.

"I've known you almost your whole life. So has Emma. Don't loose a friendship like that because of a love fight. Whether your dating or your friends you guys need each other. Please think about it. We don't even have to tell her. Just come and surprise her" graham softly suggests as he held the younger woman's hand.

"I promise I'll think about it. I'm going to message her today. Where's Doris anyway" Regina asked changing the subject.

"Out shopping with her sister. I just thought I'd pop in and have a drink" graham replied as he took the menu in his hand.

"Here let me buy you one. You can sit and keep me company" Regina offered as she didn't want to sit alone anymore.

The pair talked for awhile. They remembered stories from when Regina and Emma were young. Graham and Doris were always there for Regina when her parents died and even before that. She was so close with the swan parents and of course the swan daughter. After about an hour Regina went home. She decided to finally message Emma.

Regina: hey. How you doing? xx

Emma was sat talking to her music producer. She felt her phone vibrate and was going to ignore it. She quickly glanced just to see who messaged. When she was Regina's name she quickly opened it. She saw the message and knew best to quickly message back while she wanted to talk.

Emma: I'm good thanks. How about you? Xx

Regina: good thank you. Just thought I'd message and check in xx

Emma: just answer me one question. Why? Why if you love me and I love you did you shut me out? I won't ever speak of this again I promise but just please tell me the truth xxx

Regina: truthfully... I was scared I'd loose you forever. I'd rather be your best friend then not be in your life xx

Regina: anyway I heard you have a lot of concerts and a big speech coming up. Good luck and wish you all the best xx

Emma: thanks. I take it you spoke to dad😂

Regina: yep! 😂He's so proud though em and so am I❤️

Emma: thank you! I'm proud of you too❤️

Regina: thank you xx are you busy?

Emma: just talking with the boring music producer. We can't decide on anything😂🙄

Regina and Emma talked for ages. They got along like nothing had happened and they were teenagers again.

"Hey em! What's up" 18 year old Regina asked as she answered her phone.

"I'm meant to be on this date with a girl but she's so loud and annoying. I'm in the toilets now and need a rescue" Emma quickly said as she was annoyed from her date. Regina just started laughing which caused a sigh from the blonde. "Not funny. Can you call me in like 5 minutes and say there is an emergency"

"I guess I can but this is just gold. Alright I'll give you five minutes and then call. Be ready" Regina replied still laughing her head off.

"Life saver" Emma quickly said before hanging up.

She washed her hands and left the toilets. Drying her hands on her jeans as she did. She walked over to the table where the girl was sat with a huge smile in her face.

"Your back!" She said as she clapped her hands excitedly.

"Yes Tilly. I am" Emma replied awkwardly smiling. She waited made small talk for 10 minutes before Regina finally called. The blonde rolled her eyes since she knew Regina done this on purpose. She answered and put it to her ear. "Hey mum"

"Hey daddy. I've been waiting for you" Regina seductively said trying to hard not to laugh.

"Wait what happened" Emma asked as she ignored her best friend.

"I'm sat thinking of you and now all wet baby" Regina replied in the same voice as she smirked at what she was doing.

"Dad fell over and broke his hip" Emma questioned as she looked at Tilly with a fake worried face.

"I need a nice strong girl to clean it up for me"

"He's in the hospital now? I'll be there in a minute" Emma quickly said before hanging up. She was going to kill Regina. She looked at Tilly who looked concerned. "I have to go. My dad broke his hip"

"Ow that's a shame. Call me" filly said while waving lots as Emma got up and left.

The blonde took her phone out as she got into her car. She quickly texted Regina.

Emma: 🖕

Regina: 😂💋
