Amnesiac (Gravity Falls x Reader)

Chapter 1 - Awkward Breakfast..

Two sets of twins sat at the shabby dining room table, the silence in the air only growing. The older set of twins, each in the peak of their exciting lives, sat across from each other. The younger twins, a brunette girl and boy, sat next to each other, in uncomfortable silence.

"Um... I've got to get the Shack ready to open.." An older man said, standing walking out of the room quickly. His twin only sighed, as he then followed. "I guess I have to get back to work. You kids stay out of trouble, alright?" His answer was quiet, as if he didn't want to disturb the kids, and his posture wasn't as it had seemed. The kids nodded meekly, and the older man ran off to his lab.

"Uh, Dipper... Do you think Grunkle Ford was hiding something?" The brunette girl asked, shifting her gaze from the doorway to her brother. The boy, named Dipper, responded, "I'm not sure Mabel... But if Ford is hiding something, it's either really important, OR really dangerous." His sister, Mabel, only giggled in response. "Well, are we going to find out what he's got in store?" She asked, grinning.

Dipper nodded, made sure that his hat was perched on his head, and stood up, followed my Mabel leaping out of her seat and dusting off her sweater. The two twins walked through the kitchen and the living room before they stopped in front of a vending machine. Punching in the code they recently learned, they opened the secret entrance, and wandered down to the basement. As the two crept downstairs, they could hear the rambling from their great-uncle Ford.

"...the readings are off the charts! Something extremely powerful must've slipped past the barrier... I hope it isn't..."
