Lesson 14 - Future Tense

ㄹ/을거예요 [l/eul geo-ye-yo]=will,to be going to

* How to determine whether to use ㄹ거예요 or 을거예요.

-Verb stems ending with a vowel (보다, 가다, 자다.. etc.,) are following by ㄹ거예요.

-Verb stems ending with a consonant (먹다, 찾다, 븥다..etc.,) are following by 을거예요.

~~ The present tense can also serve to express the future, when the context is very clear. ~~
Eg. I'm going to go tomorrow.
      내일 갈거예요. (Future tense)
      내일 가요. (Present tense)

Examples
1. 가다 [ga-da] = to go
가[ga] + ㄹ거예요[l geo-ye-yo]=갈거예요.[gal-geo-ye-yo.] = I'm going to go. / I will go.
*more eg..
지금 갈거예요. =I'm going to go now.
흔자 갈거예요. =I'm going to go alone.
내일 갈예요. = I'm going yo go tomorrow.

2. 하다[ha-da] = to do
하[ha] + ㄹ거예요[l geo-ye-yo] =할거예요.[hal-geo-ye-yo.]= I'm going to do./I will do..
*more eg.
뭐할거예요? =What are you going to do?
언제 할거예요?= When will you do it?/ When are you going to do it?
이거 정말 할거예요?=Are you really going to do it?

3. 입다[ip-da] = to wear
입[ip]+ 을거예요[eul-geo-ye-yo]=입을거예요.[ieul-geo-ye-yo.]=I will wear..
*more eg..
청바지 입을거예요.=I'm going to wear blue jeans.
티셔츠 입을거예요.=I'm going to wear a t-shirt.
뭐입을거예요?=What are you going to wear?
