It's been weeks since Taehyung started avoiding Jimin and Yoongi and he misses them desperately. He's been having constant headaches, can't sleep unless he's with Jeongguk or Hoseok (or sometimes both), but even when he does sleep he wakes up exhausted. Everytime he sees one of the couple, his heart shatters. It would be so easy to go to them, to apologize, but he's tired of having his emotions toyed with. As much as he's hurting now, he can't endure the weird feelings they sent him through again.
Yoongi looks much the same, but he's never been one to let his emotions show. Jimin, on the other hand, looks as miserable as Taehyung feels. Every time Taehyung sees him, he's bundled in one of Yoongi's hoodies, eyes downcast and drooping like he's not sleeping either. He walks around with his shoulders hunched in on himself, making himself small wherever he goes. Taehyung hates it but he can't do anything to fix it.
He leaves his room, where he'd been playing video games with Jeongguk, to get a drink from the kitchen. As he passes through the living room, he spies Namjoon and Jimin watching TV on the couch. Well, Namjoon is watching, Jimin is curled into the corner like he's trying to sleep. Namjoon catches Taehyung's eye, but Jimin doesn't seem to notice his presence.
Taehyung ignores them both, making his way to the kitchen. He sets his phone on the counter and grabs a glass to pour some juice into. He's opening the fridge when Namjoon comes into the room, staring at Taehyung with that intense leader-gaze of his. Taehyung ignores him, grabbing the juice carton and turning to the counter where he'd set his glass. He ignores him, until the stare makes annoyance prickle up his neck. He slams the juice onto the counter, turning to snarl out a, "What?" in exasperation.
Namjoon stares at him a moment more before saying, "You haven't been spending much time with Jimin, or Yoongi, lately. You hardly smell like them anymore."
"So?" Taehyung asks. What the fuck is Namjoon getting at? "I've been spending time with Jeongguk."
"Jimin misses you." Namjoon says simply, tilting his head a little.
Taehyung is suddenly pissed. He growls and shoves past Namjoon, leaving his juice and his phone behind. "That's not my problem." He spits and bolts back for his bedroom.
He collapses onto his bed, but Jeongguk is too engrossed in Overwatch to notice him or how upset he is. It isn't until he's laid there a few minutes that he realizes his phone is still in the kitchen. He groans. He really doesn't want to go back out there, but he needs his phone. With a world-weary sigh he shoves himself off the bed and leaves the room again.
He pauses in the hallway, hearing voices in the living room. He worries, for a moment, that Yoongi has come home but as he inches closer he realizes it's still just Namjoon and Jimin.
"Jimin," Namjoon is saying. "I need to talk to you."
Jimin groans. Taehyung can't see them from where he's hiding, but he can imagine Jimin curling tighter in on himself. Jimin has always hated being confronted.
"I'm serious." Namjoon says. "Sit up and talk to me." Jimin must listen to him because then Namjoon is saying. "I know there's something going on with you and Taehyung."
Jimin doesn't respond. Taehyung can't blame him, his initial reaction was pretty similar.
"I was walking by your room a few weeks ago," Namjoon admits. "Your door was open. I saw you kissing him." Jimin makes a pained noise and Taehyung has to bite one back of his own. Namjoon has known? This whole time? "So, what was that about?"
Jimin scoffs, and it sounds wet, like there's tears stuck in his throat. "It was apparently nothing." He says and he sounds so hurt. Taehyung's heart breaks all over again.
