Things aren't completely solved after the night Jeongguk talks with Hoseok. Of course they're not. But at least Hoseok is smiling at him again, goofing around again, playing games again. At least he gets to go to late night practices again, at least he's got his hyung back again.
But he wants more than just his hyung, just his friend. He's known that for awhile. But after having Hoseok gone for so long, the feelings have only intensified and continue to twist in his stomach whenever they hang out. So, he goes to the two people he knows best suited for this sort of thing.
His best friends, and the other two-thirds of the Omega Maknaes (as the ARMY has taken to calling them), Park Jimin and Kim Taehyung.
Through some begging to the manager-nims and some group texting with his two best friends, they manage to get a day where it's just the three of them at home. They were able to convince the managers with the excuse of delicate Omega biology, and bonding with your closest same-status friends. It was a plan they'd come up with together, after Jeongguk had told them that he really, really needed to talk to them and didn't want the potential of anyone else in the group overhearing. And it's not a lie, not really. The laws of group dynamics indicate that interstatus bonding is just as important as intrastatus bonding. It just wasn't quite the exact reason they wanted the day together.
Their day starts with the rest of the group getting ready to leave. After Yoongi gets ready, he carries a still-asleep Jimin to Jeongguk's room, where Tae had slept with the youngest Omega the night before. Taehyung tends to do that, when he can't spend the night with Jimin and Yoongi. Yoongi places Jimin in Jeongguk's bed, letting the Omegas curl up together with a small smile on his lips.
The others eventually leave, and the three maknaes take advantage of their schedule-less day to sleep in. They move around a little, so Taehyung and Jimin can curl around each other and Jeongguk wraps his arms around them both. Their scents combine nicely, floating lazily in the air, and they fall back asleep easily.
Jeongguk wakes several hours later to find his arm still wrapped around Jimin and Taehyung, but they're already awake and are kissing each other lightly, looking at each other with sickeningly sweet lovestruck expressions. Jeongguk groans, kicking his leg out and it hits the back of Jimin's, who is the closest to him. "You two are fucking gross, god." He turns his face and buries it into his pillow to the tune of the other two giggling.
"But we're in love Jeonggukie, isn't it cute?" Taehyung teases, lifting his leg over Jimin to tickle at Jeongguk's with his toes. Jeongguk whines and rolls away, nearly falling off the bed and onto the floor. The other two giggle again, and Jimin reaches behind himself to grab at Jeongguk's shirt, hauling him back toward them. Jeongguk goes with a grumble, letting Jimin resettle his arm around his waist. He burrows closer, tucking his nose into Jimin's hair.
"That's kinda why I wanted to talk to you guys." Jeongguk mumbles, fingers twitching nervously against Jimin's stomach.
Jimin and Taehyung make curious noises. "What do you mean?" Jimin asks softly, wrapping his little fingers around Jeongguk's wrist.
Jeongguk sighs. "Can we...get some breakfast first? I don't wanna talk on an empty stomach."
As if on cue, Taehyung's stomach growls loudly. Jeongguk can't see it but he can practically feel Jimin glaring at his partner. Taehyung pouts, "Hey, it's been like, over twelve hours since we had dinner!"
Jeongguk chuckles a little and detaches himself from Jimin's back, climbing off the bed. He stretches his arms over his head and starts to walk out of the room, not bothering to change since they're going to be home all day. "Come on, lovebirds, let's see if Jin-hyung left us something behind."
