I moved to a new city. Coming from a small coastal town ten minutes away from the beach. I was away from my hometown for over a year and I started to miss the beach. The waves, the sound of seagulls, the smell of sea salt. At times I would wish that I was back in those waves, swimming through the surf. It made me think of a mermaid. A mysterious and brilliant creature of the sea. I wanted to see how it would be to throw my readers into the world of a young hopeless romantic girl who often over thinks.
I often thought of how it would be if one day someone did something drastic out of strong emotion and then woke up to discover that they were no longer themselves.

Our unknown mermaid has no name. We know why she is a mermaid, but we don't know how. It just so happens that some parts of this story remain a mystery. That is where are reader comes in and creates their own parts.
We visit coral rifts through our adventures. Push through groups of colorful fish, make pals with the local sea turtles, and properly polish our fins. Traveling around the map discovering underwater treasures. Finding love that might be a little tricky to keep. Some stories are just meant to give you a moment of spontaneous mystery and control. I always wanted to tell a tale of a lonely mermaid that just needed some inner security. She is as strong as the current she swims. She is a beautiful as a glistening pearl. Her jade blue scales shimmer like her silky slim legs. Powering through to her next exciting journey.

Meri isn't her real name. A nickname given by a kind old lady she met on one of her adventures. She is shown as weak, straight-faced, and clumsy. She over thinks and remains a hopeless romantic. One day she finds her boyfriend bedding another and the rush of emotions cloud her mind. She does something just as hopeless as the romance books she reads. She tries to end it all.
