second personyou woke up, surprised at how cold your room was. after a few little stretches and yawns, you got up and walked over to your closed curtains. as you opened them, your eyes lit up, seeing your entire backyard covered in a thick white blanket and snowflakes falling calmly from the sky.
you rushed over to call grayson. you've been going on simple little dates and there's been some p.d.a, but nothing big.
"hi! guess what!" you whisper/yelled, since your parents were still asleep in the next room.
"good morning to you, too." he mumbled in his husky morning voice.
"good morning, gray." you said sarcastically. he chuckled.
"babe, it's snowing! that means the skating pavilion is open!" you said.
your town's ice skating pavilion opens on the first snowfall of the year and closes on the first day of spring. you and grayson have gone on the first day every year since seventh grade, when you became friends.
"okay, get dressed. i'll pick you up at ten." he said. you checked the time, it was 8:30.
"okay. see you then."
-✻-
you stood by your front door, waiting for grayson. you were wearing a black beanie, a knit scarf, a hoodie with a long sleeve shirt under it, leggings, ugg boots and light makeup.
there was a knock at the door and you opened it to see grayson standing there with a layer of snow on his beanie and shoulders. (you have matching beanies uwu)
you walked out and locked the door.
"why didn't you just stay in the car and honk the horn?" you giggled.
"because that's not polite, and i needed to make sure you didn't slip on the ice." he said. you both laughed.
you got in the car and the heat was already on.
you let out a relaxed sigh and looked over at grayson. you didn't greet him yet and you felt bad. you gave him a quick kiss on the lips.
"hi." you smiled innocently.
"hi." he smiled back and started driving away.
once you got to the pavilion, you and grayson bought rental skates and stood at the entrance to the ice.
"you promise you won't let me fall?" you asked grayson.
"y/n, i promise. now let's get on the ice before it gets too crowded!" he grinned and took your hands, stepping onto the ice backwards.
grayson is really good at skating, so he always helped you when you were struggling. as you stepped onto the ice, your grip on grayson's hands tightened.
"and you would think after six years maybe i would be good at this!" you said, looking down at your skates with a fear of slipping.
"hey, hey. looking down is the worst thing to do. look at me-" he started. you looked up at him, taking your mind off your fear.
you studied his features, and immediately got caught in a daze.
"- don't focus on anything else -" he said softly.
his big eyes bored into yours, they were concentrated on skating, but they were gentle and warm at the same time. his hair was covered by the beanie, but the parts in the front were sticking out, and they still had some light strands from when he bleached it. his nose and cheeks were pink, and small, very faint freckles trailed the bridge of his nose.
he didn't take his eyes off yours, and your grip on his hands loosened. he stopped skating, making you bump into his chest. you giggled as he stopped you from falling by putting his hands on your waist. his strong hold on your body made you shiver, but it was a good feeling. like a jolt of energy.
he slowly pulled you over to the wall. you looked around and realized you got more than halfway around the rink with him.
"hey, we did it!" you said, putting your hands up. you looked away from grayson but he grabbed your face, pulled it back to face him and forcefully connected your lips with his. a few seconds pass and you pull away, blushing hard.
"what was that for?" you asked quietly.
"i'm proud of you." he replied, giving you a half - smirk.
"why, thank you." you laughed, making him grin.
-✻-
after a few hours of skating, grayson drove you home and you decided to hang out more with him. no one was home and wasn't gonna be for a while. you open the front door and as soon as you both took your extra layers and boots off, grayson picked you up from behind and hugged you.
"aah! baby, what are you doing?!" you yelled and laughed.
he sat you on top of the kitchen counter and smiled at you.
"you're cute." you mumbled, putting one hand on his face.
"you're cuter." he said right before kissing you.
his warm lips moved gently against yours, it wasn't harsh or rushed like how other people kissed you in the past. his hands moved slowly to your lower back and he pulled you closer. he moved down to your neck and kissed it lightly, not in a sexual way, but in a cute way.
he pulled away and you honestly felt kind of alone at the loss of his touch.
"hey..." he started, making your eyes jerk up from his lips to his eyes.
"we're only like "going out" right now, but i really like you... and not just as a friend. so, do you wanna maybe be my girlfriend?" he asked quietly.
you felt your face heat up a little and you grinned.
"i'd love to, grayson." you giggled.
he happily kissed you and you wrapped your arms around his neck. he wrapped his arms around your torso and there wasn't anyone you would rather be with.
