the shy boy walked into the library, trying to find the girl that was supposed to tutor him in chemistry.

"excuse me, have you seen a girl walk in here to tutor someone?" he asks the librarian.

"she's right over there." the woman points over to the back of the room, to a girl sitting at an empty table surrounded by book shelves.

"thank you." the boy flashes a smile at the librarian and quickly makes his way over to her.

as he gets closer he realizes who it is. y/f/n. his crush since middle school. she is a sophomore, and he is a junior.

he blushes at how beautiful she looked; her shiny hair had some soft curls in it, a pale pastel green-ish flowy sundress complimented the curves and dimensions of her body, and the clear lip gloss on her plump lips sparkled from the dim library lights.

he slowly walks down the row, and she picks her head up.

"hey! you're the one i'm supposed to tutor?" she pats the table across her and he sits, taking his textbook and notes out.

"i'm y/n, by the way." she holds out her hand confidently. she smiles lightly at him and he smiles back.

"ethan." he says, shaking her hand.

"you're in my band class, right? i always see you drawing on your notes." she mentions. (some band classes can be multi-grade) his cheeks turn red and he scratches the back of his neck.

"uh, yeah..." he chuckles lightly, earning a wide smile from the girl.

"so... chemistry..." she started, opening her textbook. even thought she's a sophomore, she is still in a harder class that he is.

two hours passed. the boy now understood a lot more with chemistry, and the girl couldn't keep her eyes off of him. his wired aviator eyeglasses sat on the bridge of his freckle-specked nose, and a black t-shirt fit snug to his muscular body. his eyes were bright, complimenting his warm skin tone and dark brown hair.

"okay, so just one more thing before we leave," she got up and then sat in the seat next to him. shoulders barely touching, she pointed to one of the questions.

"remember this. this topic is gonna be all over the regents exam..." she looked up at the side of his concentrated face. she admired his soft features.

"i uh...have a few friends that are taking that in a few weeks." she blushed at the boys' glance at her lips.

he nodded and looked back at her eyes. their faces stood inches apart.

"hey, so um- do you...wanna go -uh- maybe, you and i could... ah-" the boys' face turned beet red and he scratched the back of his head.

she pecked his cheek and grinned.

"yes. i would love to go out sometime." he smiled at her reaction.

she stood up and held out her hand to bring him up with her. the sophomore clutched her textbooks across her chest and looked up at the junior innocently.
