THIRD PERSON

this is a normal thing for her.

almost every night she finds herself being drowned by her thoughts and fears, not being able to sleep.

it's currently four in the morning, it's cold out and it's raining.

the phone rang three times before she heard him pick up.

"hey." he mumbled.

"hi, ethan. i can't-"

"sleep? yeah, me neither. wanna come over?" she smiles lightly at his question.

"sure. i'll be over in a bit." she hung up and slipped on her slides.

ethan hoped that she'd get here soon, he really needed someone to hold.

thoughts, running around his mind, driving him insane.

he sat up in his bed, looking at the dark room around him.

he heard a soft knock on his front door not much later, and he jumped out of bed and ran to open it.

he looks down and sees her sympathetic smile as she hugs him.

"hey." she mumbles into his chest.

he sighs, hugging her back.

"hi." he mumbles. he put his chin on top of her head.

"you okay?" she pulls away.

"not really, are you okay?" he runs his fingers through his thick hair.

"could be better." she shrugged and he chuckled a bit.

"come on, you can stay with me tonight." he grabbed her hand and brought her up to his room.

"yay, sleepover." she yawned halfway through the sentence.

both got into bed and faced each other.

her fingers played with the boys' hair and his eyes stayed focused on hers. she didn't realize he was staring. he wrapped his arms around her waist and nuzzled his head into her neck, taking her by surprise.

after a while of just cuddling and talking, they started getting tired, seeing the sun start to rise. another all-nighter, as usual.

at least he spent it with her.

"goodnight, ethan." she placed a kiss on his forehead.

"goodnight, y/n." he softly kissed her neck.

they starting to like being insomniacs together.
