Don't even get me started on how it feels to jump. You've got to make sure it's a good leap or you'll immeditaly fall through the gaps but, when you do jump successfully, its so...exhilarating!
---------------------------
I leap one last time and Haden catches me gracefully, setting me down after giving me a wide grin. I stare up at him, my hands on his shoulders and his hands comfortably on my waist.
"Well what did you think of that?" He asks cockily, knowing full well that I enjoyed it because of my constant cheering.
"Amazing, how'd it feel to lose to me?" I ask, smirking back and he raises his eyebrow.
"Win? Whatever lets you sleep at night sweetheart." Haden states and I slap his chest, turning to look at our view. My mouth drops!A fountain lay in the middle of a field of yellow roses, each one as beautiful as the other. A signature flame with the word 'Gluttony' carved into it made up the fountain and from the spectacular creation, clear, blue water falls, filling up the small area below. I unconsciously travel forward, aching and itching to take a even closer look.
There's a small foot path so you cause no damage to the flowers and Haden follows behind me, his hands on my waist.
"H-haden it's stunning." I mumble, sitting on the white stone, swaying my hands in the water. Little ripples come away from this small touch and I smile. Such tranquility, I never wanna leave. Unfortunately, neither does the fountain. As I dip my hand in again, I feel something slithering up my leg and wrapping around it. I look down to see multiple yellow roses, restraining me. Their thorns pierce my skin and I feel the awful red liquid drip down my leg.
"Haden help!" I yell and he groans.
"I'm a little stuck too." He says, pulling at the roses that has wraped around his wrists and legs. I struggle and try to fight against the weird roses but the thorns seem to only sharper and slice my skin.
"A-Adeline your necklace. Show them that. It may not help physically for you but it might scare them." Haden says and I pull and pull on my arm, a thorn gliding across my skin each time until my arm is finally free. I swiftly grab my necklace and shove it out, conveying it to the dangerous roses.
"Its working." It is! The cower down and unravel from our arms and legs, shrinking back to nothing more than roses.I look at my arms and legs and frown. So much blood. I look across at Haden who's using the fountain water, washing it over his skin. Suddenly, the cuts on his arm start dissapearing and I sit there, staring in amazement before grabbing hanfuls of the water and rubbing it over my legs and arms. It works and the damage slowly starts to fade away.
After a few minutes, we stand, free from any harm done.
"I'll take some of this water it could come in handy." Haden informs and I nod, taking out a flask and doing the same. I gather up a full bottle of water and put it into my bakpack before walking down the path, my hand intertwined with Hadens. I cautiously hold out my necklace and the deceiving roses back down. We continue or walk and promise to never be tricked by beautiul roses...---------------------------
